3 months have passed, winter has come and gone. Spring has sprung upon Seattle as the air became warmer. Jackson and I's relationship couldn't be better. I truly was in- love.
Today I woke up to a nagging feeling. I had been sick all week and I just couldn't shake it no matter what I did. So I came to one conclusion.
I headed to the supply closet to grab a pregnancy test. While this baby wouldn't be at an ideal time or wasn't planned, something about this felt right.
I slipped it into my pocket and headed to the bathroom. I anxiously peed on the little stick.
I slipped it back into my coat pocket waiting to look at it when no one was around.
Once the break room was empty I looked at the stick to see two pink, prominent, little lines on the test. I was pregnant.
I slipped it back into my pocket, elated to tell Jackson. I went to the surgical floor to find Jackson no where. I then headed downstairs to see if he was in the ER.
As I got on the elevator a voice snapped me out of my happy trance.
"Dr. Shepherd?" I turned around to see a former patient's husband.
"Mr. Clark how are you?" I asked. He pulled out a gun and placed it against my back.
"You're going to follow my commands okay?" He said. Sticking the barrel of a gun harder into the side of my back.
"Yes" I said shaking uncontrollably.
"Take me to the your father, Chief Dr.Shepherd" he said. I shook my head violently trying to hold back the tears.
The elevator doors opened and we made a left towards the main nurses station. People, doctors and nurses were all gathered. I calmly began to walk up the stairs when a nurse called us out.
"Dr. Shepherd, sir you aren't allowed to leave this area" she yelled. He pulled out the gun and shoot her at once.
He then wrapped his arm around my neck with the gun to my temple as we headed upstairs.
I could see Mark and Lexie make a run for it.
I began to sob uncontrollably. I couldn't hold it in anymore.
"Stop crying. You don't get to cry!" He yelled at me.
"Where's his damn office?" He yelled.
"It's over the catwalk on the third floor. We need to head this way" I sobbed trying to talk in between sobs.
We headed into the next surgical wing. We headed through the hall when we stopped in a room.
"Don't hurt anyone" I cried as we entered. He kept the gun on my temple as we walked through the room. He revealed a dead patient on the bed.
"This is too much" he said.
Just then a noise came from the bathroom. He pushed me inside.
"Is he a surgeon?" He asked me. I shook my head yes unaware he was going to shoot Percy.
After shooting Percy we were about to leave the room when we noticed someone under the bed.
"Are you a surgeon? Is she a surgeon?" He asked me pushing the barrel to my temple.
"She's a nurse" I cried as I saw Bailey crying and panicking on the floor.
"I'm sorry for the trouble" he said as he loaded the gun. I closed my eyes afraid to watch. He dragged me out of the room leaving Bailey alive, on the floor, sobbing.
