I woke up the next morning to a bunch of interns staring at me.

"Can I help you?" I asked before realizing I was in the on call room.

"Um we were just wondering where you wanted us" Murphy spoke out. Wilson lightly whacked her in the chest before turning towards me with a smile.

"I'll be out in a few just go check on patients" I said rubbing my eyes. I quickly sprinted out of the on-call room and to the break room where I changed out of my scrubs and into new ones.

I quickly redid my hair and brushed my teeth before exiting. I headed to the nurses station to gather my patient charts when I looked to my left.

April had massive curlers in her hair and was talking to Jackson. The two exchanged a quick hug before walking opposite ways. Sadly April was headed my way.

"Bella" April called out. I turned to see her looking distressed.

"Are you making a run for it? Cause the hospital is the first place he'll come looking" I said. Pettiness wasn't normal for me but I just couldn't hold back.

"No I was going to ask you to be a bridesmaid but I'm not even sure you're coming to the wedding" she said oblivious to my anger.

"I promised the babysitter I would relieve her after my shift. Jackson and I are sorry we can't make it" I said.

"Jackson's coming" she laughed. "I just talked to him"

"Oh well I'm assuming Jackson settled it with the babysitter and tell her we would be a couple hours later. I'll see you tonight" I said before grabbing the patient files and binders and walking away.

"But what about being my bridesmaid" she called out. I continued down the hall leaving April in the dust.

I found the interns and made my rounds with them.

"Murphy we have surgery let's go" I said with anger pulsing through my veins. Normally Wilson and I would do surgery but lately she's been requesting to be on a certain patient's case and I just don't have the energy in me to convince her.

"So what are we doing?" Murphy asked.

"A simple spinal surgery. Just need to relieve the pressure on the nerves. We will be done in an hour tops" I said heading into the scrub room. Murphy looked disappointed with my words.

We completed the surgery and I advised Murphy to check up on the patient tonight.

I headed to the break room to get changed. When I walked in Jackson was just about ready.

"So I heard we agreed to going to this wedding" I said in a whisper.

"Look you don't have to go. April asked if I was going  to be there and I just couldn't say no" he responded.

"I called the babysitter and she agreed to watching Gia for a few more hours" I said with a sting in my voice.

"Can we talk about what you said the other night?" Jackson asked. I turned around and walked closer to Jackson.

"Can you zip me up?" I asked. As he zipped up my dress I sighed. "Can we just talk in the car. I'd rather not have a blowout in the break room of the hospital"

"Can you just tell me what I lied about" Jackson whined.

"You had sex with April.... the night of boards" I shouted.

"I -I, I was going to tell you and then you left over the kiss and I just felt guilty" he began. I couldn't bare to look at him.

"You should have came clean" I said before wiping the stray tears that had bubbled around my eyes.

"We were drunk. I was under so much pressure. It doesn't make up for what I did" Jackson countered. "Can we just talk about this in the car?"

"I'll see you at the wedding" I spat grabbing my purse and rushing out the break room. I headed to my car which had been in the parking lot for a couple days now. I dug around my purse to find that my keys were still in my other bag in the locker.

I dashed upstairs thankful to find Jackson had left and grabbed my keys. I slowly made my way back to the car checking up on Murphy and the status of the patient once more.

"She's fine Dr. Shepherd. Go enjoy the wedding" she chimed. I shook my head and left the hospital.

Once I was inside my car I straightened out my hair that had been messed up in the yelling match I had with Jackson.

I reversed out of the parking lot and drove down the highway.

It was starting to get darker out and the highway turned into forest. I was rounding a sharp corner when a deer came out of nowhere I swerved the car and crashed into the guard rail.

Smoke rose from the hood of the car and that was the last thing I saw.
