The next morning I was awoken to Hunt nudging me. I had fallen asleep on the couch while Gia was sleeping in a temporary baby cot.

"We have to have a board meeting. Now" Hunt softly said. I rolled over and stretched out my back before grabbing Gia and dropping her off at the daycare again.

I headed to Meredith's room where everyone was gathered.

"I'm here sorry" I said slipping in. It seemed likely they had already begun with some serious talk.

"How's Jackson?" Meredith asked.

"Better should be here soon. His shoulder is dislocated and the burns are only minor" I explained.

"Where's Webber?" I asked looking around.

"Not sure I paged him. We were just discussing closing the ER. We have a lack of meds" Hunt said.

"We can do that?" I asked. Cristina shrugged her shoulders.

"I'll call the suppliers" Meredith said.

"Airports are open. Just put Dr. Boswell on a flight home" Jackson said.

"Who's Dr. Boswell?" Cristina asked. I rolled my eyes at the lack of coordination we as a board have.

"She's the woman Arizona slept with last night" Torres coldly said from the corner of the room. She then got up and left not saying another word.

The room was quiet and Arizona just stood there.

"Meeting adjourn" Arizona shouted as she rushed out of the room.

Jackson and I left the room.

"My mom is coming can you just watch her today" Jackson asked softly as we walked through the halls.

"Yeah I'll keep an eye on her. I don't have a craniotomy until tonight" I explained.

"Great she should be here any minute" Jackson said as she stopped in-front of the elevator.

"Hey. I know. I'm fine. We are fine" Jackson said trying to soothe his mother's worries. I smiled at Catherine who looked beyond distressed.

"Hey, look. I need to run to my nec fasc surgery but Bella is going to bring you to the gallery okay?" Jackson asked. She shook her head and kissed his cheek.

"Good luck" he whispered to me handing me the papers on Webber.

"He's in cardiogenic shock" I explained looking at the papers.

"No"

"Um, Bailey feels like there's likely some internal necrosis so she took him up to the O.R." I continued.

Catherine rushed forward and I tried to follow her. She was fast and caught the elevator without me causing me to run up three flights of stairs.

By the time I got to the gallery I was out of breath. Catherine was pissed.

"What the hell do you think you're doing. Cutting open a man in cardiogenic shock with nothing on his C. T.?" she yelled into the intercom.

"Catherine stop" I said trying to pull off her the intercom.

"Dr. Avery I'm going to have to ask you to keep it down while we do our work" Hunt countered back. Webber's monitors began to go off.

Panic filled the air.

"Close the patient" Catherine yelled.

"Catherine please sit down" I said lightly grasping her arms. She swung them out of my grip and I knew nothing was going to convince her to move.

"Bella we are closing. Come scrub in" Bailey yelled. I rushed out of the gallery and down to the scrub room.

Bailey and I closed Webber up.... while Catherine watched. Pressure loomed over me the whole time.

Once we were finished we headed to the scrub room to scrub out.

"She can be intimidating sometimes" Bailey commented.

"Yeah well as the mother of my fiancé she's constantly scaring me" I joked. Bailey and I shared a laugh when Hunt walked in.

"We lost Brooks" he said looking solemn. Bailey and I exchanged a sorrowful look.

"I'm sending the interns home. We are going to need all hands on deck" Hunt said shifting the mood.

"Page me if you need me" I said. Hunt shook his head and exited. The rest of the scrubbing was quiet.

I exited the scrub room and headed to see Webber where Bailey, Meredith and Catherine were all arguing.

"I'm moving him to another hospital" Catherine warned.

"I'm family. He chose me because I'm family" Meredith urged.

"Guys" Bailey said looking at Webber. His eyes slowly began to open.

"Stay out of this" Meredith said to Bailey.

"Webber" I said.

We all looked to see his eyes flutter open.

"Richard" Catherine cried out. She ran to his side. I watched from the doorway as Webber slowly became alive once more.
