3 weeks later....

"Chocolate or Vanilla?" Catherine asked as I bounced the baby around on my hip.

"It doesn't matter. Jackson?" I asked.

"Same" he said not paying attention to the question. Catherine forced Jackson and I to stay home one day for the wedding planning.

Staying home wasn't easy for us surgeons. We have patients to tend to and surgeries to complete. On top of that being owners of a hospital added to the workload.

Jackson was currently completing the mountain of paperwork that had accumulated from the last few days. The foundation has been on Jackson's case as well.

"I'm here" my mother sang as she walked into the house.

"Oh it's such a charmer and ... homey" my mother commented as she looked around the house.

"Nicole Turner pleasure to meet you" my mother greeted as she extended her hand out to Catherine.

"Catherine Avery" she said with a smile. "We were just discussing cake flavors" Catherine continued. My mother being the wedding lover jumped into the conversation.

"Can we do half and half?" I asked.

"Deal" Catherine said scribbling it down.

Gia began to cry and I immediately popped the bottle I had prepared in her mouth.

"So the wedding dress it's obviously a turner original" my mother commented. I mentally rolled my eyes.

"I just need Gia's measurements for a flower girl dress" my mother continued.

"Can't we just do a simple wedding. Like I don't know family only" I mentioned.

Catherine and my mother both looked up at the same time. A look of disgust plastered on their faces.

"My baby boy is getting married. You as the next Avery need a proper wedding" Catherine explained.

"I'm with Bella. Simpler the better" Jackson said. He had retreated from the office down the hall and entered the kitchen.

"How much time have you taken off the for the honeymoon?" Catherine asked. Jackson and I exchanged a look with one another.

"Mom we aren't taking off. No honeymoon" he said giving her a serious look.

"A weekend away? I'll watch Gia" she said grabbing the child from my arms.

"No" Jackson sternly said.

"You are depriving me off granddaughter time. Take the damn honeymoon" she said giving sass back.

"A weekend fine" I said giving in. Jackson threw his arms up in the air.

"So would you like a custom tuxedo Jackson?" My mom asked trying to change the subject.

"I'm just gonna wear the suit in my closet but thank you Nicole"

Gia began to cry and Jackson took the opportunity to get away.

"I'll put her down for her nap" he said. As he climbed the stairs I let out a quick sigh.

"Look if I had it my way and I would think Jackson would agree to this too. I would get married on the catwalk of the hospital. It's where Jackson and I met and it would allow our closet friends and family to be there. Afterwards I can go get changed and go on with my day. Which means I get to save lives" I expressed in one big breath.

"Isabella a hospital is no place to be married" my mother snapped.

"Actually the foundation might eat that up" Catherine said as if a light bulb went off.

"What might the foundation eat up?" Jackson asked as he entered the kitchen with the baby monitor in hand.

"A wedding in the hospital" Catherine said. She began to scribble down notes.

"Look my ideal wedding is not going to be turned into some publicity stunt with the foundation. I cross the line at that" I expressed. Catherine looked up from her notes.

Suddenly our pages went off. Meredith had sent a 911.

"You got it too?" I asked Jackson who showed me his pager.

"Great see granddaughter time. You two grandmas can spend time together with Gia. Bottles in the fridge and toys in the front room. She'll be up in about an hour" I said rushing around the house grabbing my hospital bag with my extra scrubs.

"See you later" Jackson said as we rushed out the front door. As we climbed into the car Jackson let out a laugh.

"Drive it was a 911" I said not understanding his lackadaisicalness.

"I texted Meredith when I put the baby down. Had her page us 911 like five minutes after our last text. Want to go grab some coffee?" Jackson asked reversing out of the driveway.

"Coffee would be great. By the way nice thinking, I was drowning in that wedding talk"
