"I ah" I muttered. I looked around to see Hunt and Callie looking at me. Meredith was behind my dad giving me the look to tell him.

"I'm pregnant" I said standing up. He looked quite shocked and was about to say something when the representative from the airlines walked in.

"Okay let's begin" the man said sitting down. Meredith and my dad took seats in between Hunt and I.

"The airlines is ready to offer you a one time settlement. We urge you to take this and put this accident behind you" he said. The paper was passed around with a cool half a million settlement being offered to each of us.

I looked at my dad who raised his eyebrows. Once Callie was done with the paper we all looked at each other.

"I won't have med school debt anymore and I can take some leave from work to take care of the baby" I said.

"Zola will have a great education" My dad said to Meredith.

"We want you to think about it. It needs to be unanimous though" the insurance rep said. He excused himself and left.

"So you're what four months pregnant?" My dad asked.

"Five and look I didn't leave because of this" I said. I didn't need him going to Jackson ready to kill.

"Look I'm happy. Jackson's happy. Are you happy?" I asked.

He looked at Meredith before looking back at me.

"I'm happy because your happy. Your mother knew about this?"

"I told her not to tell you. Sorry" I said. My dad leaned in for a hug and kissed my forehead.

"It's good to have you back" he said with a smile. The two excused themselves as they had work to get back to.

I got up about to leave to go see Mark when Hunt called my name.

"Bella can we talk for a minute?"

"Oh sure" I said sitting back down.

"How's NYC?" He asked. I looked at him funny.

"Good"

"Listen I know Seattle Grace can't pay you the amount you're getting paid now at NewYork Presbyterian but it's not the same here without you. Meredith doesn't have Lexie or Cristina. Your dad doesn't have Mark. Everyone needs some normalcy" he said.

"I'd love to comeback" I said. He looked up from the table shocked.

"You're aware of what I'm offering right" he said.

"Yes.  I was going to ask if you had a position open. Jackson's staying and I want to be here"

"Well good!" Hunt said.

I left the conference room and headed to Mark's we're I sat in the chair and talked to him. I got everything out that I was afraid to say to others.

"Am I going to be a bad mom if I pursue neuro or a bad surgeon if I take a step back to raise a baby?" I asked. I knew I wasn't going to get a response but was hoping for a sign.

"I think your going to kick ass. You're going to be the best mom and surgeon Seattle Grace has ever seen" Jackson said. I quickly wiped my tears.

"I didn't know you were out there" I said trying to hide my puffy tear stained face.

"I just stopped by to update him on a patient" he said sitting in the chair next to me.

"I picked up the phone so many times and dialed your number. I just never pressed call. I couldn't tell you over the phone. I knew it wasn't fair" I explained.

"I should have called. I was an idiot" he said.

"So this patient. Let's hear it" I said. He flipped open the chart and began to read the vitals.

I waited until Jackson got off his shift. We drove to the apartment. Most of my stuff still in the same place I left it.

"How'd the meeting go?"

"They offered half a million each to us. If we take it the case gets closed" I explained as I plopped down onto the bed.

"You guys going to take it?" He asked.

"I don't know it's a lot of money"

"I don't think you should take it. What's to say you guys taking this won't stop the investigation" Jackson said. It made me realize it was a way to hush us up.

"Did you know my mom and doctor Webber are shacking it up"

"No way. Did I really miss this much. When did it happen?"

"Boards I catch them in the same room and look at the email I just got from Webber. Definitely wasn't intended for me"

I got up and read the sappy email Webber meant to send to Catherine Avery.

Just then my phone began to ring.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Oh aunt Lizzie hi. No I wasn't aware my dad was looking for a donor nerve. His arm last I heard was 80% healed. Okay goodbye"

I clicked the phone off.

"I guess Meredith is looking for a donor nerve for my dad"

"How do you know it's Meredith?"

"My dad would never reach out to his sisters for his help"

An awkward silence filled the air.

"Do you know what gender the baby is?"

"I was waiting for you"

"Great we can go together. Look Bella I truly mean it when I say I'm so excited to spend the rest of my life with you and the baby"

I practically jumped into his arms. His warmth and embrace something I had been longing for in these past few months.
