Bailey ended up being 5 hours later to her own wedding.

As surgeons we never know what's going to occur. It's just the name of the game.

Jackson was on call and had been paged back to the hospital. I figured someone would give me a ride back to the apartment once the wedding was over.

The wedding proceeded when Miranda got back. It was nice that Ben waited. After all, Ben and Miranda understood each other. That's all I could every ask for.

Jackson called me saying he was just out of work. I informed him the ceremony was over. Meredith was going to drop me off.

As she drove me home I could see she was upset.

"Mer?"

"I'm fine"

"Are you sure?" I asked. Tears were still rolling down her face.

"Adele Webber passed away" she said not taking her eyes off the road once. I looked out the window. A happy day for one person and sad day for the other.
———
A month passed by....

Jackson and I have been living in the house. We sold the apartment to Cristina who was in desperate need of a place away from Owen.

Bailey went on her honeymoon and came back. I was now almost seven months pregnant. Jackson and I are having a girl.

It's also been a month since Adele passed and the courts began fighting with the hospital.

Jackson and I walked into work. I felt slightly on edge about the judgement while Jackson was on edge with his mother and Webber.

He was sent with cookies and a note to be read to Webber.

"Can you do it?" He asked me cookies in hand.

"It's your mother" I argued back. As much as it made Jackson uncomfortable to be in the middle I didn't want to get involved either.

"She's soon to be your mother in law" Jackson argued again.

"Fine give me the cookies and note" I said with a sigh. Jackson gave me a kiss before walking behind the nurses desk to observe from a far.

"Catherine has sent you cookies Dr.Webber" I said handing over the tin. I looked back to Jackson who rolled his finger for me to continue.

"Oh and a message that I am suppose to read you" I said pulling out the note despite Dr.Webber's counters.

"Richard, I am in town doing a case at Seattle Pres. I left you several messages and wasn't sure you got them. I just want to make sure you're okay. I'm worried about you baby" I read awkwardly.

"Please tell her I'm fine" he said handing me back the cookies. I turned around to Jackson who shrugged his shoulders.

I walked back towards him with the tin in hands.

"I tried" I said giving him the tin.

"She's worried about him" he said.

"I think we all are. Ready to go get the interns?" I asked. He grabbed the cookies and placed them in the break room before we entered the intern's lounge.

"Jo you are with me" I called out.

"Murphy let's go we have a facial reconstruction" Jackson called out.

"I'll see you later" I said to Jackson giving him a kiss before leaving.

"Any surgeries today?" Jo asked me as we walked out.

"Depends. I might be summoned to the courts today. If that's the case you'll be joining Steph on scut" I explained. Jo sighed.

Just as we were about to enter the patients room my phone went off.

"I have to go I'm needed at the courthouse" I said. I headed to the lounge to change out of my scrubs.

My dad drove Meredith, Cristina and I to the courthouse. We sat in the front row listening to the whole thing.

When it was over no one moved. I couldn't process what had happened.

"Did I miss it? Damn it I'm sorry. I got out of the O.R as fast as I could, but I didn't think it was gonna be today. Oh god. Is it bad?" Callie said all out of breath.

We all starred at her blankly.

"We won" Robbins said

"He said the airline company had a history of mechanical problems with the plane. It was a public record, the hospital should have known" my dad said.

"He found the hospital negligent" Meredith continued.

"So we won. When's he gonna tell us about the reward?" Callie asked. In that moment I began to laugh.

"I'm sorry it's nothing to laugh about" I said.

"I hate to be about the money-" Callie said.

"He already did" Cristina spoke out.

"He's giving us 15 million dollars" Robbins said. It was slowly starting to become real for me sitting there hearing for the second time.

"Whoa"

"Each"

My dad exhaled a breath and I just couldn't stop laughing.

"I'm sorry I think it's the hormones" I said. A women came to answer our questions regarding payment. Turns out the hospital's insurance company will be sending us the check.

We all began to head back to the hospital when Callie proposed a dinner. We all shook our heads not giving a definitive answer.

I walked back into the hospital to see Catherine fighting with Webber.

"Catherine" I said going to comfort her.

"Oh if it isn't my gorgeous daughter in law and grand baby" she said. I smiled at her comment despite the whole hospital's attention being on us.

"Where is my son?"

"Operating would you like to go watch with me?" I asked. She shook her head and we went to the gallery to watch the facial reconstruction.

Once I was off shift I changed for the dreaded survivors dinner. Jackson would have came but he had to monitor his patient.

"I'll see you tonight?" I asked.

"Maybe. If not tomorrow" he said. I shook my head okay.

"Have fun tonight. You deserve it. You are a millionaire after all" Jackson said. I smiled and walked out heading to the dinner.

It was quiet and awkward in the beginning. Everyone but Callie seemed to want to be somewhere else but here.

"How's everyone's dinner?" Callie asked. We all responded with good.

"I want to make a toast" Callie said. She began to make Robbins uncomfortable by trying to celebrate her accomplishments. She than began to make things even more awkward with Mark and sex talk.

As the champagne was poured Meredith and I both said no to the champagne. I for more obvious reasons while Callie insisted Meredith take a sip.

"No I can't" Meredith said. In that moment I knew she was pregnant.

"Just try" Callie whined multiple times.

"I can't because I'm pregnant" she said.

"What?" Callie said.

"Oh this is great" I said giving her a hug. The whole table erupted into cheers and laughter.

"Congratulations" we all said. We celebrated Meredith's pregnancy and the win today.
