I forced myself to stay up, waiting for Jackson to get home from his shift so we could talk. It wasn't until 1 in the morning that he walked into the house. I heard him climb the stairs.

He slowly opened the bedroom door the hall light peaked through the crack.

"You up?" He whispered.

"Yeah I'm up. What happened you were supposed to get out hours ago" I said slightly groggy. He opened the door and walked inside.

He stripped his scrubs in the corner of the room before throwing some sweats on. He then climbed into bed next to me.

"Well everyone quitting caused chaos today. Bailey and Karev are still there. Hunt told me to go home" Jackson explained.

"What the hell went on today? My mom has come to take me back to Boston. She's even offering you a spot" He asked annoyed.

"Jackson what I'm going to tell you is a secret. You can't tell anyone" I said gently. "I'm buying the hospital. Well Robbins, Callie, Meredith, Cristina, my dad and I are. We are meeting with an investor tomorrow morning to get the rest" I said.

"Are you crazy?" Jackson asked. He turned on his nightstand light illuminating the dark bedroom.

"Jackson Pegasus is going to destroy Seattle Grace. Plus I'm without a job if they buy it. I got fired" I said propping myself up in the bed.

"Bella I'm just looking out for you. Great power comes with great responsibility"

"Look I know you are. We've been talking about this for two weeks. We are all sure this is what we want to do. We owe it to everyone after all" I said. He placed his hand on my cheek.

"I'll support you either way" he said. He kissed me on my forehead before turning the nightstand light off. I stared at the ceiling until morning came around. I was too nervous to fall asleep.

7 am rolled around and I forced myself to get up and get dressed. Everyone was meeting here at 8.

I threw on some business professional maternity clothes I had picked up yesterday and threw my hair in a ponytail.

Just as I headed downstairs Meredith and my dad walked in.

"You ready?" He asked. I shook my head yes.

"Jackson's still sleeping" I softly said hoping not to wake him.

"I am not sleeping" he said from the kitchen where we was pouring himself a cup of coffee. He was in his typical grey sweat outfit ready for his morning jog.

"I'll see you later good luck" he said giving me a kiss on the lips before leaving out of the front door.

"He knows?" Callie asked as she walked into the kitchen.

"His mother has come to move him and I to Boston. I had to tell him" I said. She sighed.

"It doesn't matter let's get to this meeting" my dad said.

The first two meetings went smooth. We just had one hiccup, the investor needed someone with leadership skills, none of us had what he wanted. Meredith ran to the hospital to ask Webber if he would join in our plans.

When they came back we learned only two people could ride in the helicopter. My dad and Richard went on the final meeting.

We all waited on the tarmac anxiously for Richard and my dad to return. A car pulled up, the two came out looking devastated. My dad looked at the ground the whole walk over to us.

"He loved us buts its a no" my dad said in the car.

We all looked at each other defeated.

"Is this it?" Webber asked.

"We tried that's all that matters" Callie said trying to keep everyone's spirits up.

I got dropped off at home later that night. Jackson was home from the hospital.

"How did it go?" He asked. I sat down on the couch.

"Do we move to Boston? Do you move to Boston and I stay here. I don't want to give up the house? Should we move to New York?" I furiously asked. I couldn't handle not having a job, and not having Seattle Grace anymore.

"They said no?" Jackson asked he popped up from his chair at the dining room table where he was eating and came and sat down next to me.

"I can try to get a job at Seattle Presbyterian and then after the baby you can as well. We don't have to move" Jackson said trying to calm my worries.

I leaned my head into the crock of his neck. He rubbed my arm and we sat there for a few minutes not saying anything but enjoying this moment.

The next morning I received a call from my dad to meet them at a hotel downtown. When I arrived Catherine and Richard were standing in the center while Meredith, Cristina, Hunt and my dad sat and talked.

"What's going on?" I asked walking in.

"Take a seat. We are waiting for the others" Webber said.

"Do we know what this is about?" I whispered to group sitting.

"No Richard called us here" my dad said. Just then Callie, Robbins and Jackson walked in.

"Come on mom what is happening?" Jackson asked. He had went on a run this morning and must have been interrupted to come here.

"Have a seat. I'm about to tell you" Catherine said. Jackson came and sat down next to me crossing his arm over my shoulders.

"What is going on?" He asked in a whisper. I shrugged my shoulders and turned my attention back to Catherine.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, Dr. Webber has brought to my attention the fact that all of you have been for an investor to partner with you in purchasing Seattle Grace Mercy West hospital. It is my pleasure to tell you that the Harper Avery foundation would like very much to take you up on that offer" Catherine exclaimed.

"What?" Cristina exclaimed. My dad jumped from his seat.

We all looked at each other with shock and excitement. The only one not happy was Jackson.

"We only have one condition. Only one. Since the foundation will be putting up the majority of the funds we would like a representative of our choosing to sit on your Boards of Directors" she stated.

"Well yeah sure" Robbins said making sure we all approved.

"My dears we only have a couple of hours to make this bid. Do you want to do this thing or not?" She asked.

"Yes" Cristina exclaimed.

"Yes" everyone else chorused. We all were ecstatic.

"You woke me up at the crack of dawn and disrupted my run to tell me that your coming to Seattle to be my boss?" Jackson asked. I knew he was mad, after all his mother was extremely controlling and now with her in power it would only be worse.

"Oh no no no sweetheart, you misunderstood. The foundation is electing you as the representative. With the majority shareholder that means you're in charge. I also wanted to donate a few extra million on Isabella's part. She soon will be an Avery after all" Catherine said.

I looked around to see everyone just as shocked as I.

"Now give your mama a kiss. She just bought you a hospital" she sarcastically exclaimed.

"And you two think of the extra donation from me as a late baby shower gift" she said.

Jackson turned around and looked at me with fear and frustration in his eyes. He wanted no part in this and now he practically has all the power.

Jackson stormed out and I went to follow when Catherine stopped me.

"When he calms down the three of us have some things to discuss with the lawyers and such" she said.

I stood there stunned. Meredith and Cristina looked at me. While the rest tried to understand what just happened.
