Thanksgiving:
Jackson and I have been on eight dates and last week he finally asked me to be his girlfriend. I would be a fool to say no to him.

He and I agreed on a lot of things in life. We both work hectic schedules making our time in and out of the hospital special. He relates to the pressure of being brought up in a family of doctors. He is good looking as well and an overall caring, kind and thoughtful person.

Today was thanksgiving, Jackson had off and went home for the holidays. I picked up a shift deciding it was best my dad and Meredith have the holidays to themselves.

I was in the ER with Mark when a young girl around the age of 17-19 walked in asking for him.

"Oh he's right over here" I said bringing her to him.

"Dr.Sloan a woman is asking for your presence" I said. He turned around from the patient he was currently working on.

"Hi, can I help you?" He said.

"I'm your daughter"

Mark's face went from happy to shocked in a heart beat.

"My name is Sloan Reilly. My mother is Samantha Reilly" she explained.

"Can you take care of my patient" Mark asked as he excused himself to talk to Sloan. I finished clearing the debris and dead skin from the patients leg.

I then headed to find out more about this mystery daughter of Sloan's. I walked into the conference room to see the two of them just staring at each other.

"Hi I'm Isabella, your dad is my godfather and a great uncle" I said sitting down next to Mark.

"Wow first day and I already have a cousin. Sweet" she said softly across the table I smiled.

"I have supplies" Callie sung bringing in the paternity test material.

Callie drew blood from each of them and then sent it off to the lab.

About an hour later I went to go get the results. Carrying the sheet I head back to the conference room. The two still in there same awkward places as before.

"Well it's nice to finally have a cousin closer to my age" I said with a smile. Mark queasily smiled at Sloan who was beaming.

Mark and Sloan left for Callie's to have thanksgiving dinner and I head back to the ER to tend to more thanksgiving mishaps.

Christmas:

"Cmon you'll be fine" I said to Jackson as he anxiously sat in my car. We had just pulled up to Meredith's for Christmas dinner.

Jackson and I had been dating now for about a month and few weeks. I had mentioned it to my dad but they "haven't" met outside the hospital yet.

I figured awkward Christmas dinner was the perfect way to do it.

"This is Meredith's house you're bringing me too. I mean I don't think she likes me that much" Jackson whined.

"Stop being a baby" I said opening the door to be met with cold air and snowflakes. Jackson wrapping his arm around my waist as we walked up to the door.

I opened it to find Webber, Hunt and Robbins sitting on the couch. My dad and mark talking in the hallway.

"Mark your uh kids are bickering" my dad said just as we walked in.

"Oh, talking about kids" Mark said to my dad.

"Hi, merry Christmas dad" I said giving him and hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Jackson" he said shaking his hand. "Come let me get you a drink" he said. Jackson gave a me a nervous smile.

I hung our coats and headed into the living room.

"Dr.Shepherd" Webber said raising his eggnog. I smiled waving hello before heading into the kitchen.

Meredith and her dad were talking.

"Oh sorry to interrupt just came to see if you need any help" I said.

Thatcher smiled. "No I'm all good you sit. Where's Jackson?" She asked.

"My dad is talking to him" I said. She smiled ushering us both out of the kitchen and to the dining room. We all began to sit down, Jackson and my dad appearing from the hallway.

"You okay?" I whispered to Jackson. He shook his head and placed a hand on my thigh.

Bailey walked in with her fathering taking the two empty seats on the end.

"Where's Callie?" My dad asked.

"Working" Robbins responded.

"I just got to repair a bowel. It was exhilarating" Bailey said as she passed a plate.

"Miranda, your manners" her dad lectured. This caused Bailey to erupt into a ball of emotions. Telling her dad that what she does and how she raises her child is correct because in the end that child of hers is happy and health.

We began small talk to distract from the outburst and argument that just occurred. Overall it was a great Christmas.

New Years Eve:
Jackson and I slept the evening in my apartment. We counted down to the new year, wishing for the next to be a year filled of love, laughter and health. I knew that this upcoming year was going to be our year.....
