Based on the song by Busted

One day when I came home at lunchtime
I heard a funny noise
Went out to the back yard to find out
If it was one of those rowdy boys

You happily sing along to the Busted tune, the rhyme making you skip happily around the Tardis. The Doctor watches you curiously from under the ships controls, his leather jacket engulfing him as he pulls apart the console.

Stood there was my neighbour called Peter
And a flux capacitor
He told me he built a time machine
Like the one in a film I've seen
Yeah, yeah

The Doctor shakes his head, "A time machine can't just be built."

"Oh shush," you say as you continue the next part of the song.

He said, "I've been to the year 3000
Not much has changed
But they lived underwater

Sand shoes grumbles as you sing the song on the other side of the control room.

"People do not live underwater in the year 3000!" He shouts, although his voice was quieter then his hair.

And your great, great, great granddaughter
Is pretty fine
Is pretty fine"

The Doctor snatches your phone from your hands as you press play on the one song he couldn't bare. A squeak escapes his lips as the phone begins to blare the tune.

You smile, "He..."

He took me to the future in the flux thing
And I saw everything
Boy bands, and another one, and another one
And another one

The Doctor straightens his bow tie in the reflection of the Tardis console as he waits for you to get ready.

He had been waiting for half an hour for your appearance but you hadn't shown up yet.

With a huff he runs to your room but stops as he hears a song he hoped this regeneration would be able to escape.

Triple breasted women swim around town
Totally naked
We drove around in a time machine
Like the one in a film I've seen
Yeah, yeah

The Doctors arms flail around as he tries to explain to you why you need to find a new song to listen to.

"(Y/n), the song makes no sense."

"It's not supposed to bow tie," you say cheekily, pressing a kiss to his cheeks as you press play on the phone, continuing the song.

He said, "I've been to the year 3000
Not much has changed
But they lived underwater
And your great, great, great granddaughter
Is pretty fine
Is pretty fine

The Doctors angry grey eyebrows raise as he hears that damn song, resonate through the Tardis corridors.

"Please no." His head falls into his hands.

"I took a trip to the year 3000
This song had gone multi-platinum
Everybody bought our seventh album
It had outsold Michael Jackson
I took a trip to the year 3000
This song had gone multi-platinum
Everybody bought our seventh album
Seventh album, seventh album

"I have listened to you play this song for over a century of my life, if you don't stop playing it, I will go back in time and make sure it is never created."

You rolls your eyes, "He told me he had a time machine, none like I would ever see. He said he's going to go back to early 2000's...."

The Doctor slaps a hand over your mouth, "Don't you dare."

He told me he built a time machine
Like the one in a film I've seen
Yeah, yeah

Unlike the rest of the Doctors regenerations, 13 seemed to enjoy the song by Busted.

He said, "I've been to the year 3000
Not much has changed
But they lived underwater
And your great, great, great granddaughter
Is pretty fine
She's pretty fine

You and the Doctor dance around the control room whilst everyone else was asleep, not really caring about the noise the two of you made.

"Hey hey hey
He said, "I've been to the year 3000
Not much has changed
But they lived underwater
And your great, great, great granddaughter
Is pretty fine

"I wished people did live under water, it would make running a lot more interesting."

You giggle at the Doctors antics.

"He said, "I've been to the year 3000
Not much has changed
But they lived underwater
And your great, great, great granddaughter
Is pretty fine
She is pretty fine"

"Will you two shut up," someone shouts from down the corridor, though never if you could tell who it was from the volume of the music.

He said, "I've been to the year 3000
Not much has changed
But they lived underwater
And your great, great, great granddaughter
Is pretty fine"
