Relationships and marriages are complicated. They're filled with love, loyalty, fights and for them to work, trust. If there's no trust, it is only  a matter of time before all of that love turns to mistrust and even hate.

And if you add someone from the past that the husband loved. It definitely doesn't end well. Unfortunately, you had to see it personally. First with Kiba, in this case the problem was not you. It was the lack of trust, she did not trust Kiba fully. She didn't completely believed that he could love her, so she let him go which...Ended up with him spending time away from her and more with his friends...You being one of them.

Then Sasuke, whom Orochumaru had predicted to be the first one to snap and leave Sakura. Quite honestly you weren't so sure about their relationship, or kf they had problems if it weren't for Sasuke spending more time away from her.

And...As another month passes by with the same problem...Until you had their children knocking at your door and cursing at you.

One of them had been Sarada, and...Boruto. You were not sure why he was so afraid when you didn't really see anything wrong with Naruto's marriage, until he said that Naruto spent more time with you than with his own mother. He wasn't wrong, but it was because you were his guard. There must have been something else for him to act like that, but he didn't reveal that.

Having them knocking on your door because they were worried about their family was definitely heartbreaking. It weighted down on you so much that you limited the time you spent with them, but it was almost impossible since you had to spent time with them seeing as it was your job.

But then...Now you had TenTen, the person that if you had a choice to choose, you concidered as someone close to being a sister. Here seating on the couch, looking everywhere but you. "I'm so sorry," she had said, "I hate to do this, but I don't know what to do... They're my friends....And" she had had so much trouble trying to say her reason for being there. "I know that you don't mean it, but please just...Stay away from them for a few days..." And then she was gone.

Perhaps you hadn't taken Sarada and Boruto that serious, because children tent exaggerate things. But having TenTen tell you that was just...Painful.

What did you did wrong? It wasn't like you lead them on. You acted like you always acted with your friends. Was that the problem?

Maybe you should have listened to yourself when you had the chance. They had their families, and it didn't matter how you looked at it, you were a stranger. That's why Kiba didn't trust you at first, because he thought that maybe during those twelve years you had changed, and you were capable of hurting others.

Maybe that would have been best, that way it wouldn't feel like your heart's was being tore from your chest. Swallowing the lump o your throat, you glanced at the gates, then back at the buildings, and finally at the guards.

Perhaps it would have been best for you to never return, that way you wouldn't have to feel this pain again like you did when you disappeared.

Letting a few years trail down your cheeks, you tightened your jaw and then dragged your arm across your eyes to clean your tears before you set out into an unknown journey.
