Broken Pieces (Naruto and Boruto Reader Insert)

Chapter 63

During a war, just when all the deaths were going to come to an end, someone else takes over and continues the war. It wasn't any different here, Ayato may be hiding and maybe even planning his next attack, but someone else took advantage of everyone's situation. That man was none other than Kawaki. It wasn't something that he wanted, or at least, not initially. Jigen promised he would remove the Kāma seal if he destroyed the Leaf Village. 

There wasn't much left to destroy, with how much Ayato attacked it, it was destroyed. Kawaki wasn't sure what he was planning, he didn't knew what plans he had since the start of this war. To him, everyone was just a puppet that he could control. Everyone had a role, and it was now that he realizes why Ayato had decided to start a war of this magnitude. 

To everyone, Ayato was the villan, the man who was responsible for the the deaths that had been taken during the war. Ayato was a villan, but he was manipulated, promised something that still Jigen refused to tell Kawaki. What prompted Ayato to allow himself to be manipulated? It wasn't power, that man was strong and if he so desired it, he could obtained it. Whatever it was, it must have been something very important to that man.

Maybe Kawaki would never know, it didn't matter now. Ayato was useless, Jigen didn't need him and everyone was just after him. He was just a dead man, it was a matter of time before he was found and killed.

But, it was easier said than done. The village wasn't in the best condition, Naruto was back to the village and Kawaki knew that he would eventually have to face him. Civilians looked already sad as it was, and it was not an unpleasant feeling knowing that he would fuel that grief.

His main mission wasn't to just kill everyone, but only those that presented a threat to Jigen. That, also meant anyone who was unwilling to join him, and although that offer was still yet to be given and to be accepted, it was something that Kawaki didn't like.

Taking a deep breath, Kawaki began his mission striking the closest place to him. People began to scream in panic as they tried to flee. That was for sure going to obtain the attention of the Hokage, the person he wanted to face first.

He didn't have enough men to continue to fight, the men he used, the civilians he used, were not entirely found by him. Jigen had provided him with plenty of people for him to use, most of them had been poor folk. They were so poor that when Jigen offered fortune, they accepted the offer to join him. What they didn't know that they were not just signing their name, but their wives and children were used to keep those men fighting. All the while, unknown to them, their families were used to fight somewhere else with the same technique. 

A war, he was supposed to start a war and do as much damage as he could. And in exchange, Ayato would satisfy his thirst of being able to kill, to see the pain and suffering on others. That wasn't the main price though, no, that was not what made him accept Jigen's offer. 

There were names of legends, Madara, Obito Kakashi, Naruto, Gaara and Sasuke Ichiha were just a few names of these legends. But there was another name, another legend's name that captured his attention. It was a woman's name, he heard it so many years ago, people spoke of her so highly of her, while others spoke of how dangerous she was.  She grabbed his attention, something that no other woman had managed to do. 

But, [Name], that woman seemed out of his reach. He knew everything about you, your life. It angered him to no end knowing how people would step on you, and you allowed then to. People should kiss the very ground you walked on. 

So, yes, you were his price. Jigen had promised you to him, and although he doubted, he had been utterly angry when he has heard about your certain death...He was willing to kill Jigen if he had to. But, all worked out better, you had forgotten your memories and it was the best time for him to have you to himself. 

Those mements he has with you,oh, pure bliss. Was it love? He didn't know. Was it obsession? Maybe it could be, because you drove him mad.

He had been the main target, and even you were so set on killing him. But he wasn't surprised, he expected that to happen. Though if you had lived without the truth, he would have had given you the world if you asked him to. 

But, things were about to change. Just because he was hidding, that didn't mean he didn't know what was happening around him. For instance, the attack on the Hidden Leaf Village, what was left of it. 

And last but not least, your deal with Momoshiki. If it would stop you from...From procreating with that man, then he would offer himself.

But before that, he swore he would make Jigen pay for his betrayal. Afterall all, no one, absolutely no one knew about Jigen or Kara, the organization he ran. Jigen was a smart man, he was just like him, allowing others to dirty their hands.  So, it was no surprise that he used Kawaki to do his dirty work. 

No one knew of course, but, what would you be willing you offer for that information?
