Again, Boruto didn't want to leave and it was obvious why. He felt that you would leave, banish from everyone's sight like you've done before. He wasn't the only one, the rest of his team was expecting that from you. They didn't outright say it, but the way the glanced at you, that was what they were thinking. "I know," scratching the back of your head you smiled, "what you all are thinking and I promise that's not the case. I do plan to return but the village and its people don't need to be reminded of..." what you've done and maybe even that is the main reason why the others were kicked out.

"They don't need to know you will be there, with a simple transformation jutsu y-" Konohamaru's suggestion wasn't that bad, but there were very skilled ninja who wouldn't be fooled by that simple jutsu. Besides, there were a few people who have made their live in The Hidden Leaf Village.

Gaara, if present, he too would give you that offer not only to you but to others who have helped during the war. "I know, I'll like to go and help with the reconstruction but maybe it is for the best if we stay away for a little while. The Kages still need to make choices, choices that still need to be discussed by their council. Once its resolved what they're going to do about us, then maybe we can return." You glanced back at the group of people who were once criminals, but these people earned to be respected.  They've become your friends, except for maybe Hidan. But you couldn't just be selfish and abandon them now.

"Please," Mitsuki looked around to see his father but Orochimaru was speaking with Kabuto and some others. "My father doesn't need to be protected, but please look out for him."

He was right, Orochumaru didn't need to be protected but Mitsuki was just worried for him.  It was so strange how kind Mitsuki was depute being his son. "Of course, don't worry. Besides, you'll be able to see your father soon. Were only leaving for a little while."

"[Name], we're ready to leave." Suigetsu called out to you, everyone already gathering their things(if they had any).

"Well, take good care guys were going to leave."
And so, you walked up to those who were not really leaving on their own accord, but because they were not given another option. They wanted to make the best of their lives,(others already started to do so), and with how afraid people were, these people who they were so afraid, were willing to let them heal emotionally.

It was a new start for everyone, and you just hoped that the Kages and their council thought not only about the well being of their own people. But also the being of these people, who with no obligation, fought to stop Ayato, Jigen and Kara. They risked their lives to help end the war, they deserved respect. You just hoped that that was what everyone would give them because,  if they decide that to hunt them down, then...Things would just get ugly once more.
---

This was the first of the many meetings that the Kages would have to deal with. Said meetings would end up with  a lot of disagreements, like today. "The council will always have suggestions like these, Wich is unnecessary." Naruto wanted to just slam the palm of his hand against his face because the Kages were taking more into consideration what their council wanted, not what it was best.

"They are all a large group of highly dangerous criminals, we must take action at once." It was the  Tsuchikage  that spoke, and it didn't surprise Naruto or Gaara about her choice.

"Do I need to remind you all that these people you call criminals risked their lives to help end this war." The Kazekage furrowed his eyebrows, "They deserve to be recognized for what they've done."

"I'm really sure they don't care whether they are recognized as heroes or not, but, do you all really think it's wise  to do this?" Naruto added, because that was the last thing they would want.

"As you mentioned, they're powerful and if we begin to hunt them down what do you think will be their response?" Gaara  was always collected and calm but the none sense of the other Kages were starting to irritate think.

"Like I said," again Kurotsuchi started, "if we take them by surprise w-"

"I'm sorry," Darui apologized," but I'm afraid that we need to take what the Hokage and Kazekage mentioned. Dealing with Ayato was hard as it was, then dealing with Jigen his organization left our villages vulnerable. At this moment we do not have the power not time to take such a violent approach. There was no need for them to aid us in our battle and yet they did."

Everyone watched as the Mizukage shut his eyes and took a deep breath. "I suppose you three are not wrong. At this moment we wouldn't be able to take any more damage, but what if we do forgive all their past crimes." If there was any chatter they all stopped to listen, "Then what if  they in the future decide to commit crimes, or worse, attack our villages? This is a risk we will have to deal with in the future."

"If they commit crimes in the near future then they will be punished for their crimes, if they commit them." Naruto was starting to feel lighter now that they were starting to grasp what they intended to do with everyone not allowed to remain in their villages.

"What about current crimes?" Everyone knew where the Tsuchikage was heading, Naruto and Gaara were not happy about that. "Maybe the Akatsuki, the Hawk team, even the Uchiha have not currently committed any crimes recently. Maybe they can be taken into consideration, but what about [Name], Momoshiki and Kawaki? [Name] was responsible for the deaths of many of our ninja, Momoshiki attempted to kill the Hokage, and Kawaki caused so much destruction to our villages."

"If we had taken out responsibility more serious, if we had other solutions then perhaps none of that would have happened." Naruto growled.

"So that excuses those deaths?" The woman tried again.

"No," Gaara started, "but we're also responsible for those deaths. She risked her very own life to prevent any more deaths.  In the process she ended up losing her memory, had we been more responsible then none of that would have happened."

"It does not ex-"

"What would you have done?" Gaara and Naruto asked, but she only opened her lips but no words came out.

"Exactly, nothing." Naruto snapped.

Everyone didn't say a word until Darui spoke. "We do have to thank her for that, had she not made that choice of reviving them, we would have had far beyond more deaths. With everything she, no, everyone has done they do deserve a second opportunity. It wasn't just us who ended the war, it was them. They helped execute a plan which was successful." Darui leaned forward glancing to each screen as he spoke. "You have my approval, they have my forgiveness. However, take in mind that if any of them start to present any danger to my village I will take the necessary action."

"You have my approval too, and the same goes with the warning." Chojuro agreed with them, it was really not in his and his Village's interest to make enemies out of all of you.

There was just the Kurotsuchi took out a deep breath and then let it all out. "I still believe we're making a mistake here, however, I just hope that I'm wrong. From here on, although they won't be hunted down, I will keep an eye on them. Just one small mistake and I will kill them myself if I have to."

Having come to a decision, they ended the meeting. This was this first victory of the many that would come. However, now that all the Kages came to an agreement, all they needed was to convince their councils. Not that they wouldn't convince them,  they've seen how powerful everyone was and the last thing they needed was to start another war  when most of the villages were destroyed.

Then, then they would need just some time for their people to heal. Just that, time, it was all they needed before you returned home where you should be.
