It is said that patience is a virtue, and maybe that it true. Ayato Tsukinami could care less about virtue, although he couldn't deny about its advantages. It was such a pain having to wait for so long, and there was a lot of time he had to still wait.

But anyone he knew him wouldn't really be surprised, he was known to be cold, sadistic, oh how watching others suffer is the greatest pleasure that life can offer.

And now his wait was giving small portions of that pleasure, he waited for such a long time for this. He had to admit that his plans took such a long time to take effect, you weren't the easiest person to find. But there were hints here and there about your mental state and it wasn't in the best shape. He didn't think things could get any more juicy until you returned to the Leaf Village. That's when he found the opportunity to set his plans to motion.

At first he was skeptical and a little worried, but he was more then surprised at the outcome. What those women, which you called friends, had done to you...A smirk reached his lips, dragging his tongue across that smirk, he was pleased. That was the biggest blow and one that your sanity would definitely not handle. It would take a lot for you to recuperate from that, but that was what he was waiting for.

He had been tagging along, since you left the Leave Village. That was what, five days ago? He had to admit he struggled trying to keep up with you, you didn't rest at all since you left and his body did require rest. So he did, but he still managed to  stay close enough and not far enough to loose you. Besides, he had a far greater advantage than your friends had. Those fools had apparently noticed your dissapeance three days after you were gone. How pathetic. Besides, the small traces you left, not that there were many to begin with, he made sure to cover them up.

So by now they probably had given up and returned crawling to that hole they called home. Because his body had been in so much strain, he had to stop and get some rest. But after a few days, he managed to find you and you didn't look in your best shape.

Just like him, you were human, and you may be able to go on a journey without sleep for days but once it catches up with you, it really catches up. Otherwise he wouldn't have been blessed by the sight of you sprawled on the ground, you must have fainted from exhaustion.

He could take the chance and try to kill you, despite not knowing your weakness. But your death wasn't his goal, no, it was far from it. If he needed your help and cooperation, then he needed to push the limits to your sanity. What better way than for your own friends to do that.

His eyes, the color of blood, scanned your form. Ah, how much he  envisioned your power. You saw it as a curse, but to him, it was such a powerful ability. Who wouldn't want to never age, and possibly never die? You had what was closest to what was considered as immortality, and yet you hated it. If only he could take it, but even that man, Momoshiki, who had the ability to do it, wasn't able to.

For now, he would use it, take advantage of all you had. But you were unconscious, and what he needed your for, you needed to be conscious. So, he had to wait and for that he had to keep his distance.

It took you a day, just a single day to get yourself on your feet and then continued on. But he had prepared his initial plan a few hours ago, and you'll just come to find him.

After all, no matter how heartbroken you were, you never turned your back on a dying man.
---
He didn't understand, he couldn't understand. No, this shouldn't even possible, but most of all, he couldn't comprehend what he should even feel about it.

He was at peace, he did so for over thirty years, and yet he was pulled from his rest by a young woman. Her [h/c] and [h/l] hair flowed as her strage chakra surrounded her, but as soon as his eyes met her [e\c], it began to retreat back into her body.

She stumbled back, landing on her back but she stilled seemed conscious as he got up from where he was lying down. Before he analized her, the male touched his face, his hair, his legs, arms, anything that he could prove that he wasn't alive. It shouldn't even be possible...He couldn't...His
blue eyes scanned his attire only to notice that he was wearing simple clothing, clothing that he once used to wear, like civilians wore.

Still not believing, he noticed the kunai pouch that belonged to the woman, he opened it to retrieve one and with it, he punched on of his fingers. The stinging and blood only confirmed that he wasn't dead, be wasn't made of clay like he was so many years ago. No, he was made of flesh and blood, alive.

Grasping the kunai in his hold, he flashed to kneel on from of you, but you were just staring at him and even offered a tired and sad smile. "I'm glad you're okay now,  if I hadn't arrived sooner..."You groaned as you made an effort to stand up, and even that effort made your extremities tremble. "But I'm glad I arrived in time."

This time your eyes landed on the man, he didn't seem out of the ordinary, just like any some civilian. His dark brown hair and black eyes didn't scream danger...Not that it mattered.  Helping this man, at least if helped you ease the pain you felt.

But it was only for a short amount of time, as long as you were awake, you'll be reminded of it. Caring your gaze away from the man, you struggled to stand up, and even if you had trouble to even walk, you took a few steps away. "Anyway, I have to be on my way. I wish you good luck."

The new man watched you walk away, and although he felt like he had to stop you whatever means necessary, he couldn't. You didn't seem like you did this out of evilness, and although you looked like you would faint any second, he decided to leave you be.

Right now that he was alive, he needed to find answers that if he questioned you, you would have no idea or you wouldn't answer them. Instead, he made sure to engrave your chakra signature in his mind before he left to the location he had in mind.

He didn't know what the others would think...But right now they were his only option, besides, it was  it a coincidence that you found him, he was received for a reason and they were ones to could give him a possible answer.

From afar, Ayato watched as adrenaline fueled his veins. Oh, the wonders that Genjutsu did on fragile minds, how easy it had been to trick you about that man's appearance, it had been child's play really.

Ah, next time he meets your friends he'll definitely have to thank them.
