This...This wasn't exactly what you expected to happen. Not after a few hours that you finished your shift and got a couple of hours of rest. You had been so sound asleep when a knock on the door woke you up.
Slower than you expected, you made your way to the door. There was a woman, long brown hair and brown eyes. Her eyes had been on the ground but when you revealed yourself, she raised her gaze.
You have never really see her before, so you were curious as to what she was doing here. "Can I help you?"
The woman rubbed her arm and she attempted to smile. "Hello, I am Tamaki."
Kiba's girlfriend, but as much as you were happy to meet her you weren't sure why she was here. "Hi, it's nice to meet you," you moved to the side and motioned for her to enter, "come on in."
She took a seat, you opposite her. Her eyes trailed around the room, but never meeting yours. She didn't even pay attention to the smile you attempted to offer, which only meant that she wasn't here to get know you . "Is...It is finally nice to meet you," it sounded awkward, because you didn't particularly knew what to say. Maybe you would if she didn't act so nervous and apprehensive.
Finally she turned to face you, but she didn't look happy, on the contrary, she seemed rather upset. "Yes, I heard about your arrival. Kiba hasn't stopped talking about you and then when he returned home and found Akamaru healthy again, I have never seen him happier before."
You wanted to feel happy, you did but tsunami didn't sound so happy about it. She sounded torn, "I'm happy, it was the least I could do."
She played with her hands, as if trying to find courage. "Yes..."
Letting out a long sigh, you finally decided to speak about whatever was bothering her. "I'm assuming you're not here on friendly matters. Why are you here?"
As she exhaled, her shoulders dropped. "I've known Kiba for ten years and we got to know each other during that time. But it has only been two years ago that he took the initiative to finally ask me to be his girlfriend," now she raised her gaze, "you cannot imagine how happy that made me." As if remembering that specific scene, she smiled. But it easily broke when she was reminded where she was and why she was here. "I do not mean to be or to even sound...Mean. It's just that...I know what you meant to him, I know how much it took him to forget you. But,"
Shaking your head, you raised your hand to stop her. "No, wait a minute. If you think that I returned to...I understand and I'm sorry you feel that way. But I do hope that you understand my purpose for returning wasn't-"
"That's why it bothers me, I know you didn't plan to stay, the only reason why you are here is because Kiba exposed you."
You pursed your lips, so that was what worried. She thought that Kiba exposed you because he still had feelings for you. "That wasn't the reason if that is where you're heading at. Kiba didn't do it for that, he did it because he was being suspensious of me. He thought that with my arrival with the Chūnin Exams, I would bring danger to the village. That's why he did it. So please, have some faith in him. There really is no need to for you to warn me if that is why you're here."
She rose to her feet embarrassed, "I'm sorry is just that..."
Shaking your head, you head to the door and opened it for her. "Like I said, have faith in him."
She didn't need to be twice as she left your room as if you had chanced her out. Grumbling, you shut the door. Hopefully you wouldn't get more visits like this one.
You returned to your bed hoping that you would be able to fall back asleep, but you couldn't. So, with nothing else in your schedule, you took a shower and headed out for fresh air.
