Days, three days later. It was how long it took for them to realize that you weren't just trying to stay back, but you had in fact, left.
Everyone had been convinced that you were just distancing yourself from them and you just needed time. Of course they didn't suspect that you had left because you left with nothing, not your backpack, no clothing, no food...You left everything as if you were still there. But it had been the kids, Kanabe, Haruki and Nigth who has decided to wait for you the previous night, only for you to never show up. That was when they realized their mistake, and perhaps it was too late.
If you remained hidden for twelve years, it wouldn't be difficult for you to hide again and this time they wouldn't find you. Shino had been lucky but it was because you returned, he had you close.
Orochumaru just watched, he would say with interest but that wasn't the case. He watched as all of your friends gathered around trying to find any plans that might help finding you. Goro, Itachi, Konohamaru, Kiba and the other three kids, had already set out to find you.
But he doubted they would find you, or that you would show yourself that easily. His eyes scanned the males, clearly unaware of why you had left all of a sudden. But he knew better, and he could see the guilt reflecting on TenTen's eyes.
Orochumaru wasn't the only one aware of why you had left, Kabuto was more than well aware of it. Unlike Orochumaru, Kabuto didn't seem like he was about to keep it to himself. Specially when Naruto asked why you had left, that it didn't make any sense.
"Perhaps you should ask TenTen, or maybe even Sakura." Although Kabuto's words seemed calm, he was anything but calm.
Said women snapped their gaze to him, TenTen feeling even more guilty while Sakura sent him a glare. Though they would see a hint of guilt there too.
"You both know why she left?" Kakashi questioned, but as he analized them both he already felt the answer.
TenTen glanced at Sakura, the link haired woman finally looking away in shame. "I...I just..."
None of them had the courage to tell them, so, Tamaki stepped forward and she as well shared the guilt. " This is our fault," she started, not even sure why she was here in the first place, "we blamed her for...Our misfortunes."
Naruto didn't seem to understand, so Orochumaru decided to explain further. "Which is by far, the stupidest thing you all could have done. Did you really think that the best solution was to blame her for the lack of your confidence?" He turned to Tamaki, "it wasn't her that ruined your relationship but the lack of trust you had in Kiba. As for Sasuke," now he turned to Sakura, "it was just a matter of time."
Naruto narrowed his eyes, "what did you do?"
"It shouldn't matter now, she is gone and we can argue about it but that is not going to bring her back." Oddly enough, Iruka joined the group, but it was to be expected. "The best we can do is to hope that the others found her and convince her to return."
There was nothing to be done here and quite honestly, he couldn't stay with the rest of them. He wasn't the only one, Kakashi joined him and although is hard to read what Kakashi is thinking, he could guess it was pretty similar. "You would think that now that they're all adults and with children, they would make rational choices."
Kakashi snapped his attention to Iruka, and let out a sigh. "But it's easier to blame someone else for our problems."
After that short conversation, "but blame her? I still cannot believe they did that and to her." Iruka let out a longer breath, and stared up. "I..." It was getting difficult for him to even say the words, "why her? Why did they just have to treat her like that. They could have spoken with her as civilized adults, and he they after like a bunch of children."
