He loved to see the world burn, there was just something pleasuring about seeing the pain in people. Sometimes that pushed that very same people to hurt others and it was a chain that went on and one.  They were hurt, they hurt others and so on. It was fun, so, Ayato set out for the next step of his plan.

First it was as everyone had thought, to target you, to make sure that other villages would out a bounty on your head and that would of course, end up with you completely disappearing.

With how all the Kages , except for the Sand Village, had made sure to put you on their black list, you would rather disappear and never return.

So, it all worked in his favor. He wasn't going to outright start a full war, where would the fun be? First he found one of the few people that knew about your power, who had been once upon a time, responsible for the experiments when you were first taken to Orochimaru. Hachiro Ozu, he was rather old by now but his drive to replicate your abilities kept him alive.

It wasn't hard to find him and even convince him to work for him. Over the years of hard and intensive work, all he managed to do was just like Kira, the only thing they managed to obtain was a temporary ability to heal. But that as it, it was temporary.

He hated that he would have to follow the same plans as Marada and Kira, but it'll do. Besides, that was a he needed for now. He began to recruit bandits, and rebels, and with the promise of giving them the ability nod healing, he urged then to seek small villages and destroy them.

Specially those hidden, with how far and how they isolated themselves from other villages, it wasn't hard to kill their civilians. That was how he was going to start, until he proceeded with the next phase, it didn't matter if it took him years to completely come to fulfill with his plan. What mattered was that he had plans, and for a plan to work, it requires to be organization and of course time. He hated to wait, but he was not going to be such a fool like Madara and Kira. He would wait and strike when they least expected it.

The Uchiha Clan had suffered, and the near extinction was proof of that. Everyone took their members as villain, powerful enough to just create destruction.

What they didn't know was that in really, they cared for their clan members, their families. They were humans just like anyone else.

But, that was not what everyone thought about them. Whenever Madada Uchiha was mentioned, people related that name with evilness, thirst for power. But there was more to Madara, he used to be their Clan leader and as such, he arrived to protect it and his family.

Unfortunately, during the war he lost everything, he was left with nothing and he as alone.

Itachi and Sasuke were the same, Itachi coming to massacre his very own clan and family all just for peace. He didn't want a war to be started and for far more deaths to be caused. No one knew about it of course, and everyone labeled him as a crimal and a monster. He lost everything, and even earn the hate of his very own brother who he loved more than himself. Just like Madara.

Had it not been for you that you had saved Itachi, Sasuke would have ended hating himself for killing his own brother when he found out why he had killed his entire Clan.

You, you had interfered, you had given them a second opportunity to be with their brothers. Even when you found out about Itachi, you still allowed him to stay with you and Goro.

You gave people second chances, an opportunity to redeem themselves. It was rare for people to give second chances, specially to criminals.  But you were different, you were kind, that's why you not only have Itachi and Goro a second chance, but your very own friends too. They had given you their back so many times and yet, you still refused to fight back, that proved how kind hearted you were.

They heard about all of it, word travels fast and it didn't take Madara, Izuna and Obito too long to heard that you had in fact, been placed on the Bingo book. Unlike the last time, this time they wanted you dead or alive.

Izuna glanced at his brother, after they disappeared, the took refuge in a small village and kept it same. It wasn't what they expected, but it provided them with peace, so etching that they never had during the war.

He wondered how it must have been for Madara after he was left alone, with no one else. He may act like a very strong person, and he was, but he still felt. It must have definitely not been easy having to see off his family die and lose everything.

Obito has been blinded by revenge too, they all had been so lost until you arrived. Their intentions with you were merely for use, to use you but date had other plans. It had been over a year after all, a whole year they spent with you. A year filled with desire of revenge, but also a year filled with your company.

Although you had been manipulated, you changed them. Thinking that they had been your friends, you prioritized their lives, offered them a warm friendship.

You softened their hearts, made them realize that there was more to life than just revenge. Life was about happiness, and peace. During the year they spent with you, it felt like home. Like the home they desired.

But, you were now gone, running, hidding because you were being hunted like an animal. It made Izuna's heart fill with rage just thinking about it. Although the other two didn't voice their concerns, he could see the worry in their eyes. They cared for you, that's why they left the place their called home for the past twelve years in hopes of finding you.

What they did not expect, was for you to stand on the middle of the entrance, staring at the three of them with a shocked expression. It took your a few seconds for your face to be morphed into an expression of rage, but then you let out a long sigh. You shut the door and walked to an entry chair where you sat down.

Izuna's heart jumped in excitement upon seeing you, almost forgetting that you were still in no good terms with them, he almost jumped forward to greet you. "For how long have you been here?"

It...Was strange to see them after so long and after what they had done to you. They manipulated you for their own gain, but you gained memories with them, and they were good memories.

"Around two weeks," Obito replied, crossing his arms across his chest.

Letting out yet another sigh, you leaned back as if you felt so exhausted. "I planned on staying here for a while," you glanced at them sadly, "but I guess I'll just stay a couple of days." There was one question that you wanted to be answered, but having the two monotone expressions of Madara and Obito, you didn't want to hear their answers. Izuna looked happy to see you, but it could all be just an act. They managed to put on that act for a whole year in the past, and maybe the time they spent with you meant nothing to them but it did to you. They could have acted, but you actually really cared for them.

Scoffing, you headed to one of the rooms. This places was big, filled with a lot of rooms so it wouldn't be hard to choose a room away from theirs.

"[Name], wait," Izuna had followed you, when you faced him he didn't even have the courage to meet your gaze.

"What?" You asked, trying your best not to let your sadness leak from the tone of your voice.

"It has been so long," he gathered the courage to speak, "but I feel that it is necessary. The others may not outright say it, but we are deeply sorry for what we did to you. There are really no excuses for what we did, but we are deeply sorry and I hope you can forgive us." He stepped forward, "the year we spent together, although it was built with lies, but the memories we created together meant a lot to us."

He didn't look like he was lying, not that he had a reason to. Besides, he he and the others planned to start another war, it didn't make sense that they waited for so many years. Besides, it didn't look like they had any army, or even a place to call home. Besides, right now in the eyes of everyone, you were no different than these guys. You were a criminal not worth forgiving.

"See I don't know how to respond to that, but if you're really honest then...I accept your apology if it makes you feel any better. But why are you really here?"

Pursing his lips, he glanced back to where the other two were. "We know what you're going through, we know you're more than capable of protecting yourself, but we are here to protect you. You gathered so much unwanted attention and they won't stop attempting to capture you."

Your mind was confused, not really sure how to react now that they are here and are even offering their protection. That protection wasn't necessarily, but looking at the other two, there was something that all of you shared. In the eyes of everyone, the four of you were nothing but criminals. You could ask for forgiveness, but what the four of you may not be easily forgiven. They may be together, but there was a hint of loneliness behind their gazes, just like in yours.

Besides, you were happy to see them. You thought that you would hate them, that you wouldn't be able to even face them. But you came to care for them. Nodding, you walked back to your seat and waited for Izuna to return to his seat too. "So, what have the you guys been up to for the past twelve years?"

They glanced at one another, but when Izuna noticed the small smile he began to talk. The others added bits to the story, and you listened intently to every detail.

As you watched them talk, you smiled more, your heart feeling lighter. What if you have them a second chance? What did you have to lose? You've lost everything, there really was nothing for you to lose anymore.
