Amid all this chaos, a ray of light illuminated his path. For days everyone beloved you were dead, that someone managed to kill you. Everyone believed it, and with the body that Kabuto and Orochumaru brought...How couldn't they believe it?
But with the new light that had been shone on him, he felt happy and relieved. He could breathe easily, he could be happy to know that you were very much alive.
During these last few days, he had been reading the Pervy Sage's novel and that had kept him a little sane, a little bit in line. He was torn knowing that you were not going to be there, not going to be there....
Boruto had, since you returned to the village, blamed you for his failed marriage. He loved Hinata, he was the mother of his children but the distance and time slowly got rid of of what he should have felt for her as her husband.
That was what made him realize that that love for Hinata wasn't what she wanted from him. He realized that although so many years had passed, all it took to return those feeling was just having you close to him. Having you at his side felt right, it was that feeling of always wanting to have you there at his side. That, that was how it was supposed to be.
Which was why he didn't hesitate to make a choice, if you told him to gather an army and to be ready for further details, that was what he should do. When it came to you, there was no hesitation, no questioning. There was just warmth, and the desire to maybe one day have you at his side. That notion, it felt as strongly as becoming the Hokage.
That was why he dismissed the remaining hours of sleep, and began to work. The rest deserved to know that you were alive but him knowing the truth pplaced you in a difficult situation. That was why he decided to keep it to himself, the qhicking all this was planned the faster this war was over and of course, the faster he could see you.

He wasn't that close to the God Tree and he could sense the intensity of its power. For a moment, just for a moment he was clouded by greed and he could imagine the power it would provide him when he ate its fruit. But that had been Kaguya's demise, her greed for more power and if he allowed himself to be blinded by it, he would end up with the very same fate.Toneri was more controlled, unaffected by the immediately of it's power. Momoshiki was impressed by how controlled he was. But it must be because of all the years he spent with human, how he came to value life over power. He understood how humans felt, Momoshiki didn't and he was struggling to keep himself controlled.
He wasn't sure whether to curse the day he met you and the day you once became his mission. Had it not been for that, he wouldn't have spent all of that time with you, and he definitely would not have been exposed to your kindness.
As an Ōtsutsuki, power was valued more than love. Which was why he didn't hesitate to consume his father for power, not that his father taught him that. At least, that was how it was for his family. Since he could remember, he was right nothing but how to gain power, how to harvest the For Tree's Fruit.
H had been fine leaving as he did for hundreds of years. Then you appeared and made him question those values, in such a short amount of time you managed to do that. One day, one day he would be considered as a traitor and someone would be sent to kill him and Toneri. And yet, when standing at your side, having your presence close to him, it made him feel like it would be alright. "This is all we need, we have to report back to her."
Toneri quickly nodded as the two of them returned back to you.
-Normal, you wanted a normal life where you wouldn't have to worry about a war, about any battlers. You wanted a family, and to be happy, that was what you wanted.
