It was excruciating to see, throughout the meeting with you and the others, Shikamaru wasn't able to completely concentrate and Temari knew why. She was conflicted, she knew how Gaara felt for you, but she knew how Shikamaru felt too.

Shikamaru tried to move on with her, and although you were not the cause of their separation, she knew that you were the love of his life. And yet, he still had not revealed his feelings for you yet, which was still bothering her even more.

Shikadai had grown up too, you were not getting any older. In fact, he may even grow old while you remained looking as a twenty and something  year old if there was no cure for you. That was not the point, he was now a man, who was definitely not blind and well, you weren't particularly ugly either.

She just hoped that it was just that, your beauty that caused a simple crush and nothing else. Because, it was killing her catching them both stealing glances at you. "Now you're being such a big drag, you know that?" She shook her head as she approached Shikamaru, and of course once no one else was around.

She was there when you were all talking about who could be the enemy, during that time there was so much she noticed. Perhaps this wasn't important at the moment, but it had to be talked about. "What are you talking about woman?"

Temari looked to where you had been standing. "If you want to someday spend the rest of your life with her, she needs to know how you feel about her." Shaking her head she continued, "she has to deal with a bunch of shit right now but she still needs for you to let her know. Once this war is over, she's going to move on, find someone she wants to spend her life with. From what I know, a bunch of others have already made it clear how they feel about her. " She snorted as her arms moved to cross across her chest, "even Sarada gave her, her blessings."

Shikamaru started to put his hands inside the pockets of his pants, and then walking away. "This is not the time, Temari."

She didn't want to say it, be she needed to make it clear. "Look at your son," that stopped him from walking and then to look her with a puzzled expression. "He isn't a boy anymore, he is a man Shikamaru." Sadly, and in defeat, she uncrossed her arms to let them day at her side. "[Name] has made herself to be known, more than she probably wants to. She's just," she let out a long sigh, "she's just always willing to sacrifice her own life do the sake of others, and she's very powerful too." She remembered when you first arrived to the village. Shikadai had heard of you before, he was intrigued but not to the point that he wanted to know more about you. When you arrived to the village, her son began to ask her about you, probably wanting to know what kind of threat you would be if you ever became the Village's enemy.

But, the longer you staid in the village, the longer he admired your courage. Not just everyone turned out like you did specially after you went through. He even told her one day that, your friends always said that they were there for you but in reality, you had no one but yourself. That admiration grew more and more throughout the years. And well, now she saw that maybe he was just growing a small crush or maybe something else. "What are you implying?"

Opening her mouth to explain, she stopped. She could tell him about how Shikadai would just...Stare at you, not tearing his gaze away from you. Much like...No, she just hoped she was wrong and it was just that he admired you and your courage. If it was more than admiration, it could not conflict him because he know what he father feels for you. She just couldn't imagine seeing his son in pain, so, she hoped that his father would take action and tell you. Maybe, just  maybe you would give him a definite answer.

But things weren't as simple as that, before you allowed yourself to accept anyone, you wouldn't rest until the war was over. Shaking her head, she walked away leaving Shikamaru to his own thoughts.

--
If there was someone who could understand Kawaki, then that was you. You went through the same thing as he did, both of you had to endure so much pain and deception from such a young age. So, deep down Boruto was glad that you had left in search for him and maybe even convince him. You had, after all been successful in  well, turning the Uchiha's to good guys...Right? Not only them, but even Momoshiki was trailing behind you like a guard dog.

But, deep down he knew that he needed to be there too. Maybe he would be able to tell him about what happened to his dad and the others. There was someone else who would be able to transport him closer to where you might be, maybe Goro? But, he had already left with  the Akatsuki.

That only left Toneri, who was talking with Shikamaru, Kiba, Shino, and the ex-Hokages. As if feeling his gaze, the male turned his sight on him, told them something and then excused himself.

Boruto began to walk to an isolated place, which was not an easy feat. However, once he found a safe place to talk to him, he waited for Toneri.

"You want to be taken to [Name], isn't?" The male asked with a small smile.

"If she finds Kawaki, the I'll b-" he was about to explain himself when a group of individuals joined the two of them.

Mitsuki, Sarada, Inojin, Shikadai, Shinki and  of course, Konohamaru. "You're not going to go alone, if that is what you're planning. I'll come with you," he glanced at the others and a small smile escaped his lips, "and I'm guessing they're not going to stay here either."

"Alright,  are you all prepared?" Toneri asked them all, and the nod he received from them prompted him to move.

It wasn't an easy task, there was a whole world where you could be, but after looking and looking, they finally found you. There were so many empty villages, which was where they found you.

You already knew they were there, you greeted them and despite the smile, you didn't approve of their arrival. Not because you weren't happy, but because you didn't want to put them at risk. "Well, I should have expected you three to be here. Your fathers are gone, that's understandable." Your eyes scanned the rest, and you could not help but shake your head and then your expression softened. "You can come with us," you began, "but under one condition."

It...It felt such a long time since Konohamaru last saw you. At first glance, you looked healthy, not even a sign of stress on your face but he knew that wasn't the case. "Which is?"

"For you to stand back while I deal with Kawaki, is that clear?" No one responded other than Inojin, and Shikadai, but then after groaning, they all agreed. "Good, it's getting late so come on."

You urged them forward to a house which was illuminated in the inside, as soon as you all entered, a wave of warmth enveloped them all. You had been in the middle of cooking, so you already had food almost ready to be eaten. Considering your appetite,  most of them were not surprised to see how much you had cooked. But since they arrived, you would be willing to share the food.

For the next few hours, you all talked lively mostly about you since they wanted to get to know you better.

From the side, Toneri and Momoshiki watched the small group of mostly men continue to ask you questions about your past. Even if the answers they expected were sad, you still answered them. However, the Ōtsutsuki were observant, and they knew those looks. Mostly admiration, it was as if they were seeing their idol, the person they admired the most.

By the end of the day, there was something that was for certain....Maybe Temari wasn't completely wrong.
