Ten, almost ten since you saved Sarada and since Kabuto made that water tank in hopes of saving you. Considering how long you were inside that thing, it made you realize that if it hadn't been for  Momoshiki, you still wouldn't have waken up.
It made you sick to your stomach to think that you owed your life to him.

Trying not to show your concern on your face, you smiled as you faced Naruto and Shikamaru who stood at Naruto's side. Kakashi was occupying the seat at your right, and Toneri was to your left and you could feel their gaze on you. As if they took their gaze away from you, you'll banish from their sight. "And how long has it been since the war started?"

They glanced at eachother, Kakashi decided to speak. "Six months." Ten months in total that you were just...It felt so strange to know that for almost a year you were gone and you were so close to really dying. It was rather scary if you thought about it, but now you were awake and there was still a war that needed to end. You could leave, and try to live a normal life and you wouldn't be able to live, you  wouldn't be able to live knowing that you could have done something. "It has been a long time," but they understood that you weren't just talking about the war, but also the time that you were gone from the world.

Naruto leaned forward and reached for your hand, his grasped it and intertwined his his dangers with yours. "I know what you're going to say, but you've had enough, why don't you just stay and rest? Besides, the Village would benefit from your protection." He wasn't wrong, but you knew you could do more at the battle field. Not only fighting but also healing anyone who required it.

Squishing his hand, you shook your head sadly. "I know, and I know you're only looking out for me. But I know I can do a lot more at the battlefield, I can help save more people."

They knew that too, they knew that medic ninja were able to heal minor wounds, but any wounds that required more care, they weren't able to do much. "You idiot, don't you think you had enough?" Shikamaru growled, "can't you... Can't you just think of yourself for once in your life?"

The blond Hokage smiled sadly as he stared at you, his hand pulling back and leaning back on his seat. "You've done a lot for other people, why don't you just stay  here at least for a few days? Until you're a lot better?"

"I can't, I just... Can't." As much as you wanted, " We can all rest one we kill whomever is responsible for the war."

You still remembered Madara's, Izuna's and Obito's broken souls when they saw those people being used like weapons. You couldn't rest, not until you helped kill Ayato. With a new resolve, you stood up.

"I'll be leaving with a group of Shinobi in a few days," Kakashi informed you, knowing that there was nothing else he could say to keep you here, it wouldn't work. "

Nodding, you glared at the ground, thought plaguing your mind.  But before they dragged you deeper into what felt like dispear, you shook your head. Right now you weren't feeling like yourself, maybe it was the shock? Maybe your mind was not able to completely process that you had been in the limbo for ten months.

Instead of smiling, you just walked out of the office and to find a place for you to think and precess things properly. You just walked around the village, until you arrived to the are where the villages had been impacted more by the attacks. You jumped on top of a building and you just looked at all that distribution.

"There's something bothering you." Kakashi flashed to your side, looking to the very location your were looking at.

Furrowing your eyebrows for who know how many times, you sat on the edge of the small house, Kakashi doing the same. "I don't know," you admit, you continued to just...Think. "It's still hard to precess the fact that I was... Essentially dead.  Kabuto kept me alive while I was connected to those tubes, but I was dead." The hardest part was during those ten months, you were at peace, no pain and just tranquility. Now you understood how The Kages, and Jiraiya felt, you had told them  from that peace.

"Perhaps this is why you should stay and rest, at least until you feel like yourself." His voice was sold and yet you could detect the worry in the tone of his voice. He shifted into his seat, getting closer to your form in the process. His shoulder touched yours, sending his warmth towards your body. It wasn't just the body heat he provided, but just his presence. Slowly, you leaned your head on his shoulder, and although he tensed up a bit, you scotted over and made yourself a bit more comfortable.

"The days before you leave will be enough." Right now, right now you just needed the calmness. "There's something else that I didn't tell the others, knowing Naruto he would just panic and worry and with the stress he already has, I can't like more onto him." The gray haired male remained in silence, waiting for you to continue. "Momoshiki, he was the one who saved me."

"I know," although he knew that you had a lot to deal with right now, seeing you so...Lost,it just didn't seem right to lie to you. Besides, it was a matter of time before you learned about it, better to hear it from him than discovering it on your own, and then resent them.  "Toneri figured out that was the case."

But you didn't seem shaken up by it, "I'm trying to figure out why he would do it. He wouldn't do something like that unless he would gain something from it, but I don't know what."

They had a theory, but they still didn't know for sure if that was the case. If it wasn't, he didn't want you to worry about it, and he just really want to say it or even think about. What if it was true? How would they even achieve that? Unconsciously, he curled his fingers into fists, feeling the hot rage flowing through his veins.

The two of you didn't say anything else, you both just remained there in each other's company. Kakashi was not an easy person to read, normally he would be able to remain calm and collected. Even now, his exterior showed calmness, but his heart beat raised, breathing against his chest. He knew, he felt that feeling this way was not right. The age Gap was just to much, that's why all those aga, he never did anything, let alone tell you how he felt.

Now though, you were around your thirties, but you looked as if you were just in your early twenties and who knew for how long. So, in silence and with the heartache, he settled for this small moment. He was just happy that he could provide you with a moment of calmness and clarity. This was good enough for him, as long as he saw you happy then he too would be.
