It was almost as if life turned upside down and the next series of events took everyone by surprise over the course of the next few days. None of the family knew just how ugly things would really get as Stef had finally contacted Jerry after the two realized Stefanie had been deleting her messages.
That didn't surprise the cop too much, for she had to continue to remind herself that she was dealing with this other version of her goddaughter, one she continued not to understand, recognize nor feel compassion for at times. Was she compassionate after finding out the girl was being abused? Most certainly and being the person she was, she was willing to do whatever she could to protect her. But Stefanie would not make it very easy for her nor her parents.
The night Stef and Lena found out about Alby the blonde had phoned her friends at the LAPD. She knew Lena might not approve for her fiance could be rather diplomatic when it came to things nowadays. Stef on the other hand could be rash, and rather impulsive but protective to the point that it could become risky. The police did in fact show up at Alby's, leading to a new series of events and further straining her relationship with Stefanie. For the worst.
But that wasn't even the icing on the cake, for Tess was dismayed herself, and Jerry, well there were no words for the anger he was now feeling, something he had not felt in years. Lena, herself, was worried about everything that was going on as she was trying to keep her wife sane, her kids from worrying and herself in maintaining her new job. It was all rather a challenge and she knew something had to be done and soon, for things were getting complicated, not to mention more and more hurtful.

STEF POV
"Excuse me, young lady!?" I say as I had just answered the phone only to hear Stefanie on the other end, hysterical and screaming at me.
"You! You sent your stupid cop friends over to scare Alby!! Like...how dare you! Stay out of my damn business! You don't know anything! Nothing at all!! He did nothing to me, and you went all crazy!"
"You listen to me and you listen to me good, little girl! You ARE my business and always will be! If I find out my baby girl is getting her ass kicked by some little piece of shit, I'll be damned if I don't do something about it! And I WILL take care of that little asshole myself! I have no issue doing that!"
"No! No, you're not! Screw you! I love him!" Stefanie yells even louder which only makes me want to shake some sense into her. She is in massive denial, and something has got to give.
"Love! Love? Jesus Christ child. Stefanie, you don't even know what love is!! Abuse is NOT love. It is not! You..."
"Fuck you, Stef!"
"Hey!! YOU WATCH IT! Because if I could I'd smack you through this phone! Who do you think you are? HUH! Man, you are lucky I am not there!!! You are very lucky because I am two seconds from booking a flight and getting on a plane based on your mouth alone!!!!! How dare you even remotely say that to me! How dare you!!"
"Yeah whatever!! I can talk to you however I want since you do whatever the hell you want! It's fair, right?"
"Yeah, I'm glad you think so. Not happening, LITTLE GIRL!!"
"Why are you gonna whip me again!? HUH!"
"Ha! I have other plans for you and your fresh ass mouth. You just keep hiding your head in the sand, but I won't just sit back and allow this train wreck you're headed towards! I won't, and if you..."
"You told me to stay out of your face and that you didn't want to hear about me! Nothing! So do that! And, you have no say! None, Stef! Do you realize what you've done? Do you?"
