I didn't know what was going on. Sam had just yelled at Colby that the 'deal' had went through and Colby froze in shock or something. "Um," he replied, looking at me, wide eyed, before looking back at Sam. "We got it?"he called out to him again, like he wasn't sure that he had heard correctly. Sam grinned and took the few steps towards us. I let go of Colby and backed up a step, because it seemed like whatever this was, it was a moment that needed to be shared just with each other for now. He shot me a grateful look, then he and Sam hugged tightly, giant smiles on both of their faces. "We did it brother! We finally did it! Everything is falling into place," Sam exclaimed, slapping Colby on the back a few times, before letting him go. "I'm glad you're by my side during this Colby. You're my best friend, my brother." Colby grinned at him, made a cute little embarrassed face. "Aww Sammy, I love you too," he replied, joking around. Sam rolled his eyes, and Colby laughed. "I do love you man. I wouldn't want to experience this with anyone else." "OKAY ALREADY!" Corey yelled, from where he was standing under the canopy, talking to Devyn, Griffin, and Xepher. "What the fuck is going on? We wanna be happy tooo!" He let the last word draw out into a whine, like he was two year old. I had to laugh at him. "Well," Colby said, glancing at Sam. "Sam and I have had something in the works for a while. We've actually got a lot of things in the works but we didn't want to tell anyone about any of it, until it went through. Didn't wanna jinx it." Jake motioned with his hand for them to hurry up and spill. "My attention span isn't that long guys. Rush it up." We all laughed, and Tara rolled her eyes, and slapped Jake's arm. "Be nice!" He shrugged, and his mouth fell open. "How am I not being nice Tara? I was just speaking facts. If they don't hurry up, I'm gonna go play with the cats that in the driveway." Sam and Colby chuckled, watching their friend. "Okay, here goes," Sam said quietly. "Netflix offered us a movie contract, with the option of a show if the ratings do well enough. It's going to be completely real, no acting, and we get to go back to each of the places that we've originally made YouTube videos at. The ones that have had the most activity. Only this time, it will be with more of a paranormal investigator aspect, instead of just kids fooling around with things they don't fully understand. We're going to have professionals with us, helping us out." "But wait, I thought you guys didn't want to do the paranormal thing as much anymore. You've been doing the explore videos, for the last few years. You've only done a few paranormal videos in the last three years," Kat said, watching Sam. He nodded at her. "That's true, but this was actually put into affect two years ago. We never believed it would actually go through. Besides, Colby and I have always been into the spookier aspects of our videos. We just got burnt out on them for a while. It seemed like we were bringing bad energy back with us. But this will be a mixture of our XPLR videos and our paranormal videos. It's been a while, so it should be fun to revisit those places again, and see it we can get anything new with professionals." "Colby," I said quietly, taking his hand in mine. He looked down at me, and I could see his eyes shining with excitement, but also anxiety. "Are you okay?" I asked. He nodded, and put his hand around my shoulder, pulling me against him. "I'm great. I'm just in shock. I can't believe it finally went through after all this time. I assumed it was just a loss and that was fine. I was over it. This is just so...surreal." I nodded, smiling softly at the happiness and disbelief in his voice. "You guys deserve it. It's going to open a lot of opportunities for you guys. I'm assuming that you'll have to travel." His hand came under my chin, tilting my face so that I was looking up at him. "Probably. But this is what I do T. You know that." I nodded again. "I know Colby. It just seems like you've been home for so long, and we've only been concentrating on me getting better instead of us. I hate to see you go when I'm finally starting to get better." He kissed me, then leaned back with a grin. "I'm not going anywhere for a while. All of that still has to be figured out, I'm guessing. Sam will fill me in on the details later. Maybe you can and Kat can even come with us sometimes." I grinned. "Maybe. That would be fun. We haven't done anything like that since Savannah." His eyes burned into mine for a moment, then Eli clapped him on the back. "Brother, congrats man! I'm so happy for you!" I stepped back and let Colby's friends congratulate him and Sam. I was happy for them, really. But I knew that I was going to miss him like crazy when they did have to leave. He was right though. I knew this is what came with his lifestyle. Kat, Tara, and Devyn had been dealing with it for years. Besides, it would give me the chance to have so many sleepovers and get to know the girls all over again. This would be quite the time in both of our lives maybe. While I was super happy for Colby, I couldn't help but regret how my own career had died. I had finally landed that job, that I knew was the first step towards having my own photography company, to only have it snatched away from me after the first day. Life wasn't fair sometimes.
