We held each other tightly for a moment, then she pulled back. "So, how was it? Did everything go okay? Wait, you probably don't want to talk about that just yet. Why did you want me to come outside alone? It was weird telling them to not come out here, but I didn't have a clue why. So, what's up?" I took a second, just looking at her, as my brain caught up with her fast ass talking. Instead of replying, I held my hand out to her. She furrowed her brow then looked down. At first, I don't think it registered. She just looked at my hand. Slowly, an array of emotions crossed her face. Shock, wonder, fear, then extreme happiness. When she looked back up and met my gaze, I knew it was coming. She let out the loudest scream ever, then laughed and threw her arms around me again. "OH MY GOD!! Oh my God! What? How? Oh my God, I'm so happy for you! When did this happen? Did he get down on one knee?" I couldn't keep up with her hyper ass, but it didn't matter. She looked at Colby automatically, and scowled. "Did you get down on one knee? You better have. I will kick your ass Colby Brock." He laughed, stepped closer to me, and wrapped his arms around my shoulders. "I did Neece. T wanted to tell you first, before we told everyone else though." She looked back at me, and then did some sort of knee lifting dance from excitement. "Ugh, I can't wait to start planning! When is this gonna happen? Wow, married. You're going to be a married woman. Looks like you're adulting well." I put my hand on my head, and closed my eyes. "I need you to calm down and stop asking me questions. You're going to fast. We'll explain everything inside." I opened my eyes again and smiled at her. "Seriously Neece, you talk too much." She laughed and grabbed my arm, pulling me towards her. She hooked her arm through mine, and looked back at Colby. "She'll always be mine first. Don't forget it." I raised my eyebrows and looked at him. He just grinned, then saluted to her. I shook my head and laughed. We walked inside the house, arm in arm, with Colby trailing behind us. She led me to the Trap House kitchen, yelling "They're here!" before we got close enough to see that literally every friend we had was in this room. The girls held up a sign that simply said 'WELCOME BACK' in all caps. Jake shot a confetti popper at us, and I just laughed, overwhelmed by everything. "What in the hell is going on?" I asked, in total shock. "You guys act like we've been gone for years instead of just a few days." I said, staring at them suspiciously. Then I rounded on Colby. "What did you tell them?" I asked, putting my hands on my hips. He chuckled and covered my hands with his. "I told you that I only told them we had an announcement. By the looks of that cake, I think they might've took it the wrong way," he said, then motioned his head towards the giant ice cream cake that was sitting on the island. I stepped closer and peered down at it. "Oh my God," I said, covering my mouth. "Are you serious?" I asked, looking up at everyone. "You think I'm pregnant?! Why? Why would you even think that?" The cake had a HUGE "Congratulations" on it, with a baby in a pink diaper on one side, and a baby in a blue diaper on the other side. Kat's shoulders dropped and her bottom lip kind of poked out. "You're not?" I shook my head, biting my lip to keep from laughing at her pitiful expression. "We're not getting a baby?" Devyn asked, her own face dropping as much as Kat's. "Nope. Sorry guys. But thanks for the cake. I love ice cream cake." "Then what's the big announcement?" Jake asked, then held up the confetti popper. "I used my last confetti popper. It better be worth it." I laughed along with the rest, but noticed that Sam didn't look surprised by my announcement that we weren't having a baby. I rounded on Colby again. "You told him," I half whispered, starting loud, then remembering that I hadn't told anyone besides Denise yet. He shrugged and looked bashful again. "I had too. He helped me pick it out. It's Sam," he said, like that was explanation enough. I guess it was. I sighed, and turned back to the crowd. "OH MY GOD!" I heard Tara's voice scream, shocking me as her little body slammed into mine. It took me a minute to realize that she was hugging me. "Let me see," she exclaimed, reaching for my hand. "Tara, chill," Colby said laughing. "We haven't even announced it yet." "Oh...sorry," she said, pressing her lips together. "Will you hurry the fuck up T? Jesus Christ, you're dragging this out so much. Just tell them so we can celebrate!" Denise looked at me expectantly and made a 'rush it up' motion with her hand. "Okay, okay," I said, then kind of brushed my hair back from my face slowly, so that the ring was visible and catching the light. It seemed like it took a minute before the girls screamed together, getting it before the guys. Sam walked over and hugged Colby. "Congrats Brother. I'm happy for you. You two have always been good together." The guys eventually caught on, some after their girls had to explain it to them. Brennen was one of those, and I saw Sarah smack him lightly in the back of the head when she had to explain it to him. The girls all gathered around me, taking turns holding my hand up so that they could see the ring better. "Colby always has been good with fashion. This ring is amazing," Xepher said. "When's the date?" Kat asked.
