"You're sure?" Colby asked me again. I nodded, and smiled. "I'm sure. And before you ask, please drink you a few White Claws. I think you need to relax, and if that means letting the alcohol help you for a night, so be it. I'll be fine. I promise." He nodded, and checked his phone. "Sam and Kat will be back later today," he said, texting Sam back, I was guessing. I nodded again, and felt my own phone vibrate. "Yeah, Denise just told me that her and Kenzie will be back this evening too. Said that Elias and Kevin had asked them to meet them here?" I guess Corey's small get together was going to be bigger than I thought, but I felt like I needed it. Even though we had just had a weekend with all of our friends, it was marred with the pills that went missing. Then this weekend was supposed to be Colby and I, a peaceful time just for us, and that didn't exactly work out either. I started getting nervous thinking about how everything just kept getting thrown at us. Would it ever stop? I looked back up at Colby and caught him staring at me. "Eli just texted me. Said he's coming through. Tavan and Chazz will probably be here too. Elton. There's really no telling who all Corey invited. Small to us is like forty or fifty people. I felt my eyes go wide. "Actually? That's a large party for me, unless it was done in the middle of field and most parents didn't know their kids were out doing what we were doing," I said. He chuckled, and kept texting. "You can use my shower. I'll go use Sam's." "Okay, thanks," I responded. He tossed my bag to the bed for me, then winked at me, and walked out, down the hall to Sam's room. I smiled to myself while I dug through my bag and pulled out my clothes and toiletries. When I finally got under the hot spray of water, I was surprised that I really wasn't hurting. I had gotten used to telling Colby that I was fine, maybe a little sore, even if it was bad, but it really wasn't now. That meant that I was actually getting better. As long as I didn't over do anything, I should be fine. I needed to up my physical therapy though, and make it a little harder now. When I got out of the shower, Colby was already standing in front of his mirror, towel slung around his hips, brushing his teeth. Jesus, he looked good. I felt my face flush as I let my eyes move over the wet hair, the drops of water trailing down over the muscles in his back. I swallowed hard. I felt his eyes on me as I wrapped my towel around me. I kept my own eyes averted because we would never leave the bedroom if we started and I was a little excited to hang out with everyone again. I walked up to the dual sink, and picked up my toothbrush from where I'd left it earlier. "You make it a habit to just walk into your bathroom after you tell a girl to take a shower?" I asked, putting a little toothpaste on my brush. He grinned around his toothbrush, foam spilling out over his lip. "Ew," I said, laughing before I brushed my own. It was weird how normal this was beginning to feel, doing these little everyday things with him. Breakfast, showers, brushing our teeth. We had only officially been dating for a few months now. Most of the time had been spent at my home, with him helping to take care of me. I made a vow to always treat him the way he deserved to be treated. When he started blow drying his hair, I realized that he wasn't leaving the bathroom any time soon, so I turned my back to him, and got dressed. When I turned back around, fully dressed in a light sundress, he cut the power to the blow dryer. "Thanks for the show. I enjoyed it." "Shut up," I replied, smacking him on his back. "Owwooo!" What started as him letting out an exaggerated 'ow' turned into a drawn out moan, just making me laugh harder. "Hurry up and fix your damn hair!" I exclaimed. "I need to do mine too." He grinned, a big dorky grin, and passed me the blow dryer. I dried my own hair while he styled his to look like it hadn't been styled. Since I knew that Corey was going to be filming and possibly others were going to be filming as well, I opted to do my makeup. Only, I hadn't brought my make up. "Shit," I muttered, after checking my bag to make sure it wasn't in there. "What's up?" He asked, smacking my ass when I bent over to set the bag back on the floor. I whirled around to chastise him, making my dress flare up. "Ooo I really like it when you wear dresses," he said, wagging those perfect ass eyebrows at me, as he grabbed my waist, and pulled me to him. He was still being more gentle than he originally would have been, if not for my accident, and I thought it was really sweet. Sometimes, I got really frustrated and wished that he didn't have to be quite so damn gentle but it was still sweet. I placed my hands on his bare shoulders and leaned down to press my lips to his. "Devyn!" I exclaimed, pulling back from him. He looked confused and shook his head. "No, Colby." I rolled my eyes. "No, you dork, I need makeup. Dev has makeup." "Oh...yeah, that makes better sense. You want me to go ask her?" I shook my head. "Nah, I'll text her and see if she'll meet me in their room." I pulled out my phone, and sat down beside him on the bed. She texted me back immediately and said she was in her room, so I kissed Colby, and raced out the door. As fast as I could go without actually running and hurting myself anyway. I had gotten to know Devyn pretty well, since she had been helping me just as much as the others, but I had never been around her without Corey or one of the other girls.
