I watched her go, thinking that she was probably going to feel that tomorrow and how I hoped that it didn't affect her recovery process. "Neeceeee!" She yelled, motioning at Denise to come talk to her before she reached Amber. Denise cocked her head sideways, glared back over at Amber for a second, then covered the few feet to meet T. I couldn't hear what they were saying but it looked pretty heated. Denise started shaking her head vehemently, her gaze turning into a glare, as I watched. "What's going on?" Sam asked, walking up beside me. "I think Denise wants to kill Amber," I answered. "Yeah, the girls don't really seem to like her too much," he answered, a confused look on his face. "She seems perfectly sweet to me." I shook my head and clapped my hand down on his shoulder. "Brother, that's the problem. All the guys think that she's 'perfectly sweet...and we notice how her bathing suit fits her." Sam flushed, his cheeks going a little red, before he glanced at Katrina. "Well, I wasn't going to saying anything about that," he answered quietly, like he was scared Kat could hear him. Maybe she could. Females could do amazing things sometimes. It was freaky how they just seemed to know things. "Yeah, probably best not too," I said quietly, keeping my eyes trained on T. I didn't need any actual fighting going on, especially not with her involved. "T, you know as well as I do, that SHE," Denise threw her hand behind her, pointing in Amber's direction. "Took those fucking pills! You know she did! Just like she stole drugs from JJ, just like she stole jewelry from my mom, just like SHE FUCKING STOLE YOUR BOYFRIEND! SHE'S NOT YOUR FRIEND!" I was already walking towards them, because I noticed that Amber had stopped dancing, and was standing there with her mouth handing open. Actually, everyone was standing where they were, looking a little shocked. "That's not true!" Amber exclaimed, starting to walk towards the girls. "Don't," Tara replied, popping up out of nowhere, and grabbing Amber's arm. "You should not going over there." Amber yanked her arm away and glared at Tara as she towered over her. Now, that's where I was headed, because I wouldn't allow anyone to hurt Tara, or any of the other girls for that matter, but Tara was like my baby sister. Nobody messed with her. "I have a right to defend myself when she's over there screaming about all of these things that I did!" Amber exclaimed, starting to walk towards Denise and T again. I stepped in front of her , when she was about ten feet away from the girls. "Stop," I said, moving with her, as she tried to step around me. "Move Colby," she said through gritted teeth. "No," I replied simply. "Let them deal with this. I'm not letting you and Denise close together, especially when the woman I love is in the middle of it. I won't risk her getting hurt just because you two have unresolved issues. Not happening." She glared up a me for a minute and I could see that she was thinking about trying to get by me. "Amber, I won't ever hit a woman, but if you try to go over there right now, I will tackle you," I said sternly, my voice low. She huffed out a breath and stood there glaring over my shoulder at Denise, with her arms crossed. "Turn the music back on!" I yelled to Corey, who was the designated DJ for now. He nodded, watching Denise, Terra, and Amber for another few seconds before he turned his attention back to the music. Once it was blaring through the speakers again, everyone seemed to relax, and mind their own business. Actually, they were all still very in tune with whatever was happening with Denise and Terra, but they were pretending not to notice. I appreciated that. "Go dance or whatever it is that you're wanting to do. If they need to talk to you, I'm sure they'll come get you. Until then, just stay away from them. Especially Denise," I demanded, giving her a stern look. She rolled her eyes at my bravado. "Whatever," she replied, but then her expression changed. "How about you Colby? You wanna dance?" I looked at her like she was crazy. "No. Why would I want to dance with you?" I asked in bewilderment. "Because I know that Terra can't really do a lot right now and you're not really having any fun. You're just standing by her, making sure she's okay. Don't you think that someone should make sure that you're okay? Make sure that you have a little fun?" She took a step closer to me so that her...chest was an inch away from my own. I glanced down, unable to help myself, seeing her cleavage spill over the top of the suit. I cleared my throat and jerked my head back up. "Go away Amber. I'm her BOYFRIEND. That's my job. I do have fun, as long as I'm with her." "Ugh, you guys are all a bunch of bores. I thought LA was supposed to be fun." She glanced over to Elias, who was walking up. "Hey cutie, you wanna go dance again?" He shook his head, keeping his eyes on mine. "No, I think I'll sit this one out. You go have fun," he replied, dismissing her with a wave of his hand. Her mouth dropped open at the audacity he had to dismiss her. "Fine. Tavan is a better dancer than you anyway," she retorted before stalking off. Amber was dangerous. I could see that already. She was the kind of girl who was used to getting what she wanted and didn't usually take no for an answer. If you did tell her no, she would get her revenge. "I think you're gonna need to keep an eye on that one," Elias murmured, both of us watching her walk up to Tavan and started to grind on him.
