"But I can't beat ya, 'cause I'm still with ya. 'Oh mercy,' I implore. How do you do it? I think I'm through it - then I'm back against the wall. What kind of man loves like this? What kind of man?"

Robby's POV

The next morning, we all meet downstairs for breakfast in the hotel with all the other dojos.

I sit with the team while Sensei LaRusso and my dad sit alone to talk. We're still waiting for Zion, Hawk, and Devon.

"Someone took their time getting ready," Demetri remarks as Hawk walks over to us.

"You know how long it takes to get this mohawk gelled," Hawk defends in a slightly aggressive tone. I'm sick of their incessant fighting and quips. "Besides, not all of us are even here yet."

"Yeah, well," Sam frowns as we still wait on Devon and Zion, "there's actually something I want to talk about before Zion gets here."

I turn to Sam skeptically as Miguel speaks up in concern, "What is it?"

"Did she... Did she happen to go to see you last night, Robby?" she turns to me. They all do.

"No, I didn't see her after dinner," I explain in slight confusion. Sam frowns. "Why?"

"Well, these past two nights she's left the room in the middle of the night without telling us. I guess she went to Tory two nights ago, but last night she was gone for hours," Sam explains. "I'm not trying to accuse her of anything, really. I'm just... concerned. If she wasn't with you..." Sam looks at me again.

"Then where was she going?" Miguel finishes her train of thought.

"And that I don't know," Sam admits. "I'm a light sleeper and woke up. I don't think she noticed me, but I definitely saw her. Last night she got up and ran straight to the bathroom... to throw up. Then she disappeared and came back hours later."

"That is weird. Is she sick?" Demetri asks. "'Cause we have an even smaller chance of not being eliminated if she's sick."

I keep to myself how relatively normal this sounds for Zion, despite how unhealthy it is. I know that when she's stressed she needs to train. I also know that when she has an especially bad dream or panic attack, she throws up. Nobody here could blame her for that, either, given the circumstances.

But I also know she wouldn't want me telling them. So I won't. I do feel horribly for not being able to be there for her, though. Especially since last night I thought she was handling it well.

"Why are you suddenly so close with Zion?" I hear Hawk ask Demetri in confusion. "Just to get back at me?"

I look at Hawk in confusion as Miguel tunes into the conversation curiously, too.

"No, this isn't all about you," Demetri counters him. "It just so happens that we... I enjoy her company."

It's nice to hear, but Hawk narrows his eyes at Demetri.
