"Tonight we're going hard just like the world is ours. We're tearin' it apart. You know we're superstars; we are who we are! We're dancing like we're dumb. Our bodies going numb. We'll be forever young. You know we're superstars; we are who we are!"

Zion's POV

Three days later. Two days until the election at the homecoming dance.

We've been hanging up posters, reposting on social media, and giving out merch nonstop. Even the guys from the dojo have helped, including the younger ones like Kenny and Anthony. It's really great to see them supporting us and getting along.

Anytime Walker and I end up passing in the hallway, we glare at each other. Eva and I ruined his friendship with a lot of the guys on the basketball team when we told the truth, and it looks like Simon has pretty much cut ties with him, too. It's so gratifying.

I have heard other rumors, though. They say I should let what Walker did to me go and forgive. They also say I should shut up because I know nothing, because I'm stupid. Of course Walker has his defenders, who are these close-minded men. But what makes me sad is that some of them are women feeding into the sexism.

But I try to brush it off as always. Letting them get to me - or any of us - will only hurt us more.

"We went around taking more polls today," Sam sets down her lunch tray. She's happy. "It looks like the majority of people are ready to vote for you, Eva."

"Good," she replies. "I was a bit concerned when I saw Simon pushing stickers and t-shirts yesterday, too."

"T-shirts are so tacky," Liv comments as she eats a baby carrot.

"Yeah, I got thrown one in science class," Miguel rolls his eyes, "like they don't know who my best friend is." We exchange a smile.

"Well, I'm glad they're finally leaving us alone," Robby speaks up as he looks at me.

"Yeah, now they know better," I add, humor in my voice. "I've only heard a couple things behind my back. I can tell their attention is shifting to Simon and Walker."

"That's really good," Tory comments. I nod happily.

"We're going to win this thing!" Liv cheers.

"Don't jinx it," Tory replies quickly. She's serious about it. "We can't get our hopes up."

"Okay," Liv nods. "Well, I hope we do."

Tory adds, "Well, duh, us, too."

I try to keep cool and happy in front of everyone, but in reality I think my heart may just beat out of my chest from anxiety. I don't know what we'll do if Eva doesn't win.

Kaya says we're basically split 50/50, and it will be a very close race.

Simon and his goons don't seem worried at all, though. They look really excited, like they know they're going to win. Eva said Simon is going to run a fair campaign from here on out, so that may be something good. Or it may just be something that reflects well on him. It may get him votes.
