Luthor Corp
A woman with raven-black long curly hair, pale skin, blue-greenish eyes, a very determined woman. She walked into her office, and behind her was Clark Kent, Kara Danvers and Iris West. This was Lena Luthor, Lex Luthor's kid sister. "There's a perfectly reasonable explanation for why I wasn't aboard the Venture yesterday," Lena said.
"Well, that's why we're here," Clark said.
"There was an emergency regarding the planning for a ceremony I'm holding tomorrow. I'm renaming my family's company, and I had to cancel," Lena said before she walked over to her desk and sat down.
"Ah, lucky," Clark said but Lena chuckled.
"Lucky is Superman saving the day," she said.
"Not something one expects a Luthor to say," Kara said and Lena smirked.
"And Supergirl was there, too," Iris added, which caused Lena to look at her.
"And who are you exactly?" She asked.
"Um...I'm Iris West. I'm not with the Daily Planet. I'm with Catco magazine. Sort of. I'm with Kara here," Iris said.
"It's a publication not known for its hard-hitting journalism. More like High-waisted Jeans, Yes or No?" Lena said.
"I'm just tagging along today," Iris said.
"Right. Can we just speed this interview along? Just ask me what you want to ask, Mr. Kent and Miss Danvers. Did I have anything to do with the Venture explosion?" Lena asked.
"Did you?" Kara asked.
"You wouldn't be asking me if my last name was Smith," Lena said.
"Ah, but it's not. It's Luthor," Clark said.
"Some steel under that Kansas wheat," Lena said before she smiled, but no one else was smiling so she stopped. "It wasn't always. I was adopted when I was four. And the person who made me feel most welcome in the family was Lex. He made me proud to be a Luthor. And then he went on his reign of terror in Metropolis. Declared war on Superman. Committed unspeakable crimes. When Superman put Lex in jail, I vowed to take back my family's company. To rename it L-Corp. Make it a force for good. I'm just a woman trying to make a name for herself outside of her family. Can you understand that?"
"Yeah."
Then Lena got up and grabbed a drive. "I know why you're here. Because a subsidiary of my company made the part that exploded on the Venture. This drive contains all the information we have on the oscillator. I hope it helps you in your investigation," Lena said before she gave Clark the drive.
"Thank you," He said.
"Give me a chance, Mr. Kent and Ms. Danvers. I'm here for a fresh start. Let me have one," Lena said and the two nodded.
"Good day, Ms. Luthor," Clark said, then he, Kara and Iris walked out.
Streets of National City
As Clark, Kara and Iris walked back to CatCo, Iris looked more concerned than the two Super Cousins. "I didn't see anything when I X-ray-visioned the room," Clark said and Iris looked at him.
"Yeah, me neither. What do you think?" Kara asked.
"I've learned through hard experience not to believe anything a Luthor says," Clark said.
"Yeah, I know I'm not a reporter or anything, but I kinda believed her," Iris said and Kara looked at her.
Then Clark's phone rang. It was Lois. "Hi, sweetie," Clark said when he answered the phone. "Yeah, I'm with Kara and Iris...Yes, I'm being careful...I miss you, too. I love you. Bye."
