Previously on Come Back To You, Cadmus began abducting aliens, so Iris asked Snapper to publish an article, but he insisted on verifying her sources.

When Supergirl confirmed the story but refused to reveal her own source, Snapper refused to publish. Alex's bias towards Jeremiah led to J'onn suspending her, but Maggie decided to help her find him. They stopped a Cadmus team from abducting an alien and found Cadmus' holding site. It was revealed Jeremiah was blackmailed into working for Cadmus; Lillian threatened to kill his daughters should he refuse. Lena also found out about the site before Lillian's operatives attempted to stop her, but Kara managed to save Lena.

At the Cadmus site, Alex was captured and Jeremiah revealed that Cadmus was planning to deport the aliens to another planet in a large spaceship; he had changed the plan from killing to deporting.

Meanwhile, Iris published the story on a blog, forcing Lillian to deport the aliens she already had. Alex convinced Jeremiah to help her stop the launch and, while he engaged Cadmus operatives, she entered the ship and freed the aliens, but they were locked inside by another gate before the ship launched, programmed to accelerate to light speed once exiting the atmosphere. Supergirl arrived and managed to stop the ship. Snapper fired Iris from CatCo, while Alex was reinstated by J'onn.

Barry was standing alone, thinking deeply to himself, when Cisco, Caitlin, Julian, HR, Jesse, Joe — Kara, walked in. Barry looked back at them, mostly to Kara, but she tried to avoid his eyes. "Cisco," Barry said and Cisco looked at him. "Get the breach room ready."

"Okay, for what?" Cisco asked.

"I'm gonna save Wally," Barry said and Kara looked at him again, her eyes lit up in surprise and intrigued.

"How are you going to do that?" Kara asked.

"I'm going back into the Speed Force," Barry said.

"I'm just trying to wrap my mind around you going into the Speed Force again. The- Savitar said he was there for years. You said it was like being in space," Joe said.

"I know," Barry said as Kara eyed him.

"So what are you gonna do? You gonna run in there and run around till you find him?" Kara asked and Barry nodded. "It's endless."

"I know. And this is the only way to save Wally," Barry said.

"Yeah, yeah, I just- we need a plan. I-I-I don't wanna lose both my sons," Joe said.

"Look, gang, I don't understand the Speed Force, but there are plenty of people in this room who do," HR said before he looked at Cisco.

"Am I correct in assuming there's a point coming?" Cisco asked.

"My point is why can't you use your knowledge to fashion some kind of safety precaution for young BA right here, so that, while he's in the Speed Force, he doesn't get lost," HR said.

"Oh, so you're saying I can just whip up some kind of inter-dimensional tether to just anchor him to the Universe?" Cisco asked sarcastically, but once he had said it out loud, his brain sparked in ideas. "That's exactly what I can do."
