Previously on Come Back To You, Barry, Kara and Wally continued their training in order to save Iris from Savitar. They raced against each other, and Barry beat Wally by phasing through a building, but in the end, Kara beat them both. Julian found a decayed corpse that was murdered just eight hours ago. He informed Joe that this is surely the work of a metahuman. The body was taken to S.T.A.R. Labs for investigation, where Caitlin and Julian observed it turning to ash. Iris confessed to Mon-El that she is afraid of her future.

Clive Yorkin, the metahuman responsible for the disintegrated corpse, attacked Joe and was revealed to be targeting the police who arrested him in Flashpoint. The metahuman tried to disintegrate a bridge on the train Joe was on, forcing Barry to phase the train through the wreckage of the bridge. Barry taught Wally how to phase, which Wally used to expose the meta to his blood and strip him of his powers. Joe insisted that everyone be honest with him from now on after learning of Iris's future death.

While practicing phasing, Wally was shocked to see Jesse and Kara-2 coming through a portal. They said their father had been abducted by Grodd and taken to Gorilla City.

The next day, everyone stood before Jesse and Kara Wells, and as Jesse paced and Kara stood by, crossing her arms, watching her sister pace scared. But Mon-El just eyed Kara-2 confused, clearly never meeting a doppelganger before. "It's just like...a mirror," Mon muttered but Iris slapped his arm.

"It's been two weeks since he disappeared. I mean, no one's seen or heard from him since," Jesse panicked.

"Slow down. Just start from the beginning," Barry said softly and Jesse nodded. "Okay, why did your dad go to Gorilla City?"

"Wait, can we slow down even further? What the hell is a Gorilla City?" Mon asked.

"Okay, so-" Kara-2 said before she cleared her throat. "there are sentient, highly intelligent evolved gorillas in Earth-2. And they all live in a city deep in the heart of Africa."

"We sent Grodd there when he went after Fay Wray here," Barry said.

"Grodd's there?" Joe asked.

"Who's Grodd?" Mon asked.

"Mm. Why on Earth, any Earth, would your father want to go there?" Kara asked.

"I mean, we received a mathematical cryptogram at our S.T.A.R. Labs. It was highly complex. It took a week to decode it, but our dad and Jesse did," Kara-2 said.

"What did it say?" Barry asked.

"It was an invitation...from the gorillas to our dad," Jesse said.

"Why Harry?" Barry asked.

"They wanted to meet him. So he mounted an expedition with ten other people, and they went into the jungle. But they failed multiple check-ins, and a search party went in after them. But all they found were the bodies...all of them beaten to death," Jesse explained and they all looked at her, taken back. "But no one's seen our dad. I mean, is he-"

"No. No, he's alive," Kara said as Kara-2 and Jesse eyed her heavily. "They...they went to a lot of trouble to get him there. They need him for something. We're gonna figure out what that is."

But through Caitlin's lab, HR walked in and the two girls looked at him taken back. "Oh! There you guys are. I've been looking all over for you. Are we going for coffee or what?" HR asked.
