STAR Labs
Time Vault

Barry was standing in the middle of the room, looking at the holographic article from the future when The Flash vanished in Crisis, when Oliver walked up behind him. And so did Mon, but he just stared at the article, very weirded out. "I didn't think about it, Oliver," Barry said, recognizing the presence of his two friends. "I didn't think about the future. I was so focused on the past, I didn't think about it until now. I changed so much."

"What is this?" Mon asked, hesitantly pointing at it.

"This is an article from the future. It's a story about me vanishing. Used to be written by Kara Danvers-Allen," Barry explained before he looked back at him. "And Iris West-El." Mon looked taken back as Barry looked back at the article, seeing the byline was now by just Kara Danvers. Not Kara Danvers-Allen. "But now, I don't know. Something's...something's changed with Iris. Something's changed with Kara and I. Something's changed with our future. God, what did I do?"

"Barry," Oliver said and Barry turned to him. "This is a weird-looking newspaper article. It doesn't mean anything."

"Yeah. You need to stop beating yourself up over this," Mon said.

"I'm sorry, but how can you say that? I'm responsible for all of this," Barry explained.

"Maybe. Maybe not. Barry, you made a choice. You wanted to see your parents alive again. Do you honestly know anyone that, if they were in your shoes, wouldn't do the same exact thing? I would do the exact same thing. Barry, after the Gambit went down, it was me, my father, and a crewmember on a life raft. Lost at sea. Enough food and water for one person, maybe. My father took a gun, shot the crewmember, told me to survive, and then turned the gun on himself. He shot himself in the head. He sacrificed himself so that I could live. Nothing I could do. No choice. Slade Wilson drove a sword right through my mother's heart, in front of my sister and I. I was there. I was helpless on the ground. I was powerless to stop it. No choice. Do you not think that I wouldn't give anything to go back and to make things different?" Oliver asked, making Barry stare at him taken back.

"You never told me that," Barry said.

"Barry, the world isn't different because you changed the timeline. Change happens. Tragedy happens. People make choices, and those choices affect everyone else. You're not a god, Barry," Oliver explained and Barry nodded. But then the building started to rumble, and the three looked around in wonder.

"Hey, guys, wherever you are right now, we need you."

Barry waved his hand over the stand, and it showed security footage from outside, where all the heroes who went to go save the Vice President, were attacking STAR Labs. "Oh, things just got so much worse," Barry said before he looked back at Oliver and Mon, who stared at the screen in concern.

STAR Labs
Outside

The Flash and the Green Arrow walked out to see that Supergirl, the Atom, Speedy, the White Canary, Heatwave, Firestorm and Spartan were all creating destruction everywhere. "Guys," Barry said and the heroes all stopped what they were doing and looked back at the two. "Can we talk about this?"

But then Thea shot a arrow at him, which he caught it right before it shot him in the chest. "Guess not," Oliver said, then Sara started throwing her throwing stars at the two as Dig shot at them, and Mick blasted his heat gun towards them. Barry zoomed him and Oliver behind a STAR Labs van as they examined their friends.

"What's wrong with them?" Barry asked.

"I don't know, but we need to find out," Oliver said, before they jumped out into the clearing. Oliver put an arrow in his bow and pointed it, but right before he was about to shoot, at the same time, Kara blasted with her heat vision, Firestorm blasted with their fireballs, and Ray blasted them dwarf star at their feet, sending Barry and Oliver flying back.
