Previously on Come Back To You, Lena invited Iris to a press conference being held by her former boyfriend Jack Spheer, who unveiled Biomax, a new nanobot technology that can heal human ailments.

After the conference, Iris was approached and told the human trials of Biomax were faked, but her source was killed by the nanobots before she was told more. Iris and Mon-El crashed Lena and Jack's dinner date and took Jack's keycard for his office, discovering footage showing Jack injecting Biomax into himself. Iris later showed the footage to Lena, who confronted Jack and discovered he was being controlled by his CFO Beth Breen via the side effect of the nanobots, loss of free will.

Supergirl then turned up to save Lena, but when the former was trapped by the nanobots, Lena was forced to deactivate them, killing Jack in the process. Breen was incarcerated and Snapper rehired Iris at CatCo for providing the Biomax story.

Streets of National City

Late at night, loads of police cars, officers, faced a bank, while helicopters stood in the sky as well. Maggie was on the phone, talking to the robber on the other side, who had hostages.

"We have the hostages, and we don't want to hurt anyone."

"Well, you don't have to hurt anyone. No one is making you do this. You're choosing to do this. You and your friend chose to go into that bank. You chose to take those people hostage. But you know what? You can choose to put your guns down. You can choose to let those people go. You can choose not to hurt anyone," Maggie said into the phone.

"Look! Up in the sky!"

Maggie looked up to see Supergirl had crashed into the building before them and she annoyingly hung up. She walked up to the hero as she walked out with the robbers by the arm. "Hey, not even Pretty Boy Floyd got to meet Supergirl," she said as police officers grabbed them. "It'll be a fun story to tell your roommates in jail!"

"Supergirl," Maggie said and Kara looked at her. "I almost had him..."

"And I got you over the finish line! And just in time for dinner. I'll see you later," Kara said before she flew off and Maggie sighed.

Alex's Apartment

Kara gave money to a pizza man as he handed her the pizza while Alex was trying to wave off the smoke with a towel in the background. Kara walked up to the dining table where Maggie, Barry, Iris, and Mon-El sat, where she then placed the pizza box down. "Alex, don't be embarrassed, okay? The first time I tried to microwave macaroni and cheese they had to evacuate three city blocks," Mon said.

"That's an exaggeration," Iris cut in.

"But I have seen less terrifying nuclear explosions," Kara said.

"Well, I like pizza better than paella anyway," Maggie said as Alex sat with them.

"Yes. Me too," Barry said as Kara handed everyone their pizzas.

"I love ham and pineapple! It totally shouldn't work, but it totally does," Mon said and Iris softly chuckled.

"Thanks, love," Barry said and Kara smiled before she kissed him. "How's my girlfriend, guys, huh? Bank robbers, zero. Supergirl, two."

"Yeah. What do you even need cops for in this city?" Mon asked and Maggie tensed up as Iris smacked his arm.

"I am so sorry," Iris said as she faced Maggie. "He's from a different planet. He doesn't even know what he's saying."
