Previously on Come Back To You, Harry and H. R. clash over their different personalities. Jesse informed her father that she intended to stay on Earth-1 with Wally, which Harry initially tried to prevent. Gypsy attacked Team SuperFlash, but was subdued and revealed to be controlled by Grodd, whose forces had reached the city.

Using his powers, Cisco determined that the gorillas will attack the center of town. This turns out to be a distraction for Grodd to abduct visiting a Army general. Barry contemplated killing Grodd as the only way to permanently stop him and also change the future, but Harry encouraged him to find another way.

Taking control of the general, Grodd attempted a nuclear missile strike on the city. Barry and Kara prevented the attack, so Grodd and his gorilla army invaded the city themselves. Cisco traveled to Earth-19 to ask for Gypsy's help. The speedsters and aliens distracted the soldiers while Cisco and Gypsy bring Solovar to Earth-1, who defeated Grodd and assumed leadership once again. The gorillas returned to Earth-2, with the exception of Grodd, who was turned over to A.R.G.U.S. Gypsy kissed Cisco, before returning to Earth-19.

Barry proposed to Kara.

While going out to pick up dinner for Jesse, Wally visualized Savitar confronting him.

Cisco, Caitlin and HR watched on the satellites as Wally, Barry, Jesse and Mon raced each other throughout the city — but Wally was falling behind. "Oh, Barry and Mon's putting him through the wringer today," Cisco said and HR looked at him in offense.

"Excuse- Barry and Mon? Excuse me?" HR said and Cisco slowly nodded his head. "Uh, yeah, I suppose it could be Barry and Mon, or it could be his genius coach, whose sole purpose on this Earth is milking epic greatness from those around him. Thank you very much."

"It could also be Jesse," Caitlin added and HR gave her a look.

"What?" HR asked.

"Come on, Wally doesn't want to get beat by his girlfriend," Caitlin said.

"Also, please, just refrain from using milk as a verb from now on, please," Cisco said.

"I'm getting kind of dizzy."

"You're supposed to get dizzy, Wallace! You're supposed to get exhausted on this route. It's supposed to simulate the stress that you're gonna feel when you finally confront Savitar, so my suggestion to you is, suck it up, buttercup!" HR exclaimed before he looked at Cisco again. "Milking epic greatness."

"Yeah, no kidding. Why don't you take it down a little, tiger mom?" Cisco asked as Caitlin saw where they were on the track.

"Barry, Mon and Jesse are at the final mark," Caitlin said.

"Get ready. Wally's at the home stretch," Cisco said.

Streets of Central City

Barry held Jesse in front of him on top of a pair of stairs, just how Savitar held Iris in the future. Mon stood besides them, muttering under his breath. "Come on," he stammered and then Wally zoomed up to them, pushing Barry off of Jesse.

Barry looked up at Wally, Jesse and Mon sternly before Mon worryingly pressed his comms. "Guys?" Mon asked.

"0. 21 seconds."
