Central City - 2017
STAR Labs - Caitlin's Lab

Lily and Martin were working on some things, with Caitlin nearby. "Hey, Dad?" Lily asked but Martin was so deep in his work, he wasn't paying attention. "Dad."

Martin blinked out of his work trance and looked at her. "What? Oh, I'm sorry," Martin said.

"Can you hand me those induction clamps?" Lily asked.

"Yes," Martin said before he got the clamps next to him and handed them to her.

"You know, this reminds me of that time we stayed up all night building my seventh grade science project," Lily said smiling as Martin started to work again. "Remember how mad Mom got when she found out you let me drink coffee to stay awake?"

"No," Martin said but Lily looked at him confused as he looked at her.

"I mean, no, no, I should never...never have let you do that. Uh, I'm sorry. Will you excuse me?" Martin asked before he got up and Lily and Caitlin eyed him confused.

"Are you okay, Dad?" Lily asked.

"I'm just preoccupied with my work, that's all," Martin said before he walked away.

Hallway

When Martin walked into the hall, Caitlin walked out right behind him. "You know, you're really taking this whole absent-minded professor thing to a new level," Caitlin said.

"I don't know what you mean," Martin said.

"Your daughter. Ever since you've come back, you've treated her like a total stranger," Caitlin said.

"That's because she is a total stranger," Martin whispered to her and Caitlin stared at him confused. "I'm sorry. It's just that, when I last left 2017, that young woman did not exist."

"Wait, you're saying Lily belongs to another timeline? That, when Barry created Flashpoint, she-" Caitlin started to say.

"Unfortunately, this is all my fault. You see, a month ago, I interacted with my younger self back in 1987 and unwittingly motivated him...Me...To sire a child. So it's because of my carelessness that this Time Aberration exists," Martin explained.

"She is not an Aberration. She is brilliant and funny and a lot like you, just a little less uptight," Caitlin said.

"Please stop talking about her like this. She is not a real person," Martin said.

"She is a real person. She's your daughter," Caitlin said but Martin looked even more annoyed. "Wait. When we finish fighting the Dominators, you're gonna go back in time and...erase her?"

"No. I am going to restore the timeline. Unlike your friend Barry, I have the luxury of fixing my mistakes," Martin said before he walked off.

Battlefield

Mick, Amaya and Nate were looking down at the passed out Dominator, when a group of men walked up behind them, led by a young man with dark hair, and glasses. "Well done," he said and the three all turned to him and the other men. "I see that you've managed to catch us a specimen."

"I'm afraid we're gonna have to keep this one. Who are you?" Nate asked.

"Just a humble civil servant," the man said, showing them his badge.

"I don't like guys with badges," Mick said, pointing his fire gun at the me.

"Easy, Mick," Nate said.
