Daxamite Cruiser
Mon-El was staring down at Earth from the cruiser in agony, thinking of every moment he had spent there. Thinking how his time there came to such a short end. But his thoughts were interrupted when Lar Gand approached him. "I want you to know that Iris West will be safe," he said but Mon didn't care. He just walked away from him and headed for the thrones, staring at them sternly. "And in time, you will see that coming home was the right thing to do."
"I already know it was right. If I didn't come back, Mother would have killed the woman I love," Mon muttered and Lar Gand sighed.
"Your life will always be Rhea's responsibility. But son, you belong with your people. It means so much to them to have you back," Lar Gand said.
"If this is about the people, then some things have to change. One day I will become king. And I want to be a different kind of king," Mon started before he turned to face his father. "And why not start now? Why not rebuild our kingdom better than it was. And make justice available for everyone. And get rid of rank and make it so that everyone's voice is heard equally."
"This is absurd," Lar Gand said.
"Why? Why is that so absurd? We have a chance to start again, Father. So why should we go and just recreate the same broken system as before?" Mon asked.
"Because it's what the people need. Do you think we survived the destruction of our world by giving everyone a say? Our royal house stood for a thousand years because the people need our order. And our leadership," Lar Gand explained.
"Our house would have fallen," Mon said before he stepped down and got closer to his father. "So rebuild with me, Father. Please."
Suddenly, Rhea stormed in and the two looked at her. "Enough!" She snapped before she slapped Mon across the face, leaving both him and Lar Gand in shock. "It will take us four years to reach Daxam. Maybe if you spend that time in a cell you'll be cured of these misconceptions."
Then two guards grabbed Mon and dragged him away. He begged for Lar Gand's help, but the father didn't know what to do but just stand and do nothing. "The engines will be ready for departure in five minutes, Your Majesties," a guard told Rhea.
"Thank you. We can finally get away from the poison of planet Earth," Rhea said.

The DEO
The group stood around in the back where Winn had shown them the portal gate from the Slaver's Moon incident. "So, you may remember heat-visioning the bonkers out of this bad boy back on the rescue mission to Slaver's Moon. But with a little TLC, little elbow grease, we've got it fully operational again," Winn said.
"But this is just one portal. Don't we need one on the other side?" Kara asked.
"No, apparently, the other portal acts as more of a beacon," J'onn said.
"So, as long as you have the exact coordinates of where you want to transmat, you only need one gate?" Barry asked.
"Mmm-hmm," J'onn hummed.
"Yes. One gate and one, you know, flawless calculation of the ship's location as it hurtles through space relative to us as we spin on the Earth's axis at about one thousand miles per hour," Winn said.
"And if the calculation's wrong?" Iris asked.
"You'll transmat directly into the cold vacuum of space," J'onn said and Iris let out a nervous smiled.
