Previously on Come Back To You, James became discouraged with being Guardian when he realized that those he helps are afraid of him. The DEO investigated a Phorian woman who used her telekinetic powers to cause rampage. James tracked down her son, Marcus, who refused to speak with anyone but James, who spent time bonding with him.

With Rhea's encouragement, Lena completed the matter transporter, which Rhea activated, causing Marcus to nearly destroy the office with his powers.

Afterwards, the DEO discovered Rhea and Lena's involvement and that Marcus's mother's "attack" was unintentional on her part. Marcus led James and Winn to his mother, who was with a large group of Phorians. Rhea reactivated the transporter, causing the Phorians to lose control. James managed to calm Marcus, who in turn calms the others. Kara, J'onn, and Mon-El attempted to shut down the transporter, but were unsuccessful. Mon-El confronted Rhea, but hesitated to kill her. The transporter brought a massive fleet of Daxamite ships to conquer Earth and transform it into "New Daxam". Rhea then teleported herself, Mon-El, and Lena to her ship.

The DEO

"People of Earth, do not be afraid — We have crossed a sea of stars in order to bring you a new way. A better way. I will be your Queen, and you will be my subjects. Obey our orders, and we will protect you."

The people inside the DEO, were frantically pacing, most of them calling their loved ones, making sure they were okay. "Kara?" Iris asked on her phone, but it was just a voicemail. "Damnit, Kara." Her voice then started to crack. "Kara, Rhea — she's taking over and she got-she got Mon-El." The voicemail cut her off and she cursed under her breath. She then called Barry, but just like his fiancée, he didn't answer. "Barry Allen, where the hell have you been? You've been MIA since HR's funeral and it was all very sad, I know. But we need you right now, National City is under attack by the Daxamites, and they have Mon-El." Iris shakingly gasped, tears stinging her eyes. "I don't know what to do, I need you, I need Kara, but neither one of you are answering-" and right then the voicemail cut off. "Damn it."

"Did you get any of them?" Alex asked and Iris looked back at her.

"No," she muttered, but right then Alex's phone started ringing. "Is that Kara?"

"Maggie?" Alex asked once she answered the phone.

"Danvers, I'm at the police station!"

"Do not resist."

"God, shut the hell up," Iris muttered towards Rhea's voice.

"Are you okay?" Alex asked into the phone.

"They're everywhere, Alex. The Daxamite troops are everywhere."

"I guess we have transmat signatures all across downtown. Our satellite systems are crashed," Winn called out.

"Danvers, I-"

"Maggie?" Alex asked but the call cut out, and she put her phone away. "They've attacked the NCPD."

"Is Maggie safe?" Iris asked but Alex didn't even know. "What're we going to do?"

But suddenly, Daxamite troops teleported right in front of Alex, Iris and Winn. "No!" Winn yelled as they pointed their rifles at them. But Alex pulled her blaster out and shot the ones on the counter. Winn and Iris dropped down to the ground as more troops transported around the facility, shooting down agents as they went around.
