Previously on Come Back To You, Kara and Clark continued operating together in National City before he decided to return to Metropolis.

When they encountered Corben, who had turned into Project Cadmus' prototypical cyborg, his Kryptonite-based powers posed as a serious threat. The DEO deduced that there was a mole who smuggled the Kryptonite out.

During a subsequent encounter with Corben, another Metallo prototype goes on a rampage in Metropolis without opposition. Alex and Barry found the mole, but he was killed by Cadmus's leader, a scientist who intends to destroy aliens. Winn built an anti-Kryptonite gear for Kara and Clark, who managed to defeat the Metallos with the help of Alex, Barry and J'onn. Kara promised the Cadmus leader she will find her. J'onn entrusted the remaining Kryptonite to Clark, who returned to Metropolis.

Meanwhile, Cat introduced Iris to the latter's new boss, Snapper Carr, who does not like her and refused to give her an assignment. Cat advised her to solve the problem herself and announced that she has decided to leave CatCo, leaving James in charge. Again. Iris managed to prove her value to Snapper, who agreed to teach her.

At the DEO, Mon-El regained consciousness and attacked Iris, then escaped, leaving Barry in distraught on how to find his once alien friend.

CCPD: Barry & Julian's Lab

"Remember that feeling you got as a kid when you were so excited about something that you couldn't focus on anything else? That's me right now, thinking about...well, what I always think about."

Julian looked up at Barry, who was tapping his leg anxiously, waiting for the clock to hit 7:00. "Allen! Enough with the knee," he said annoyingly. Then Barry got up and grabbed his bag. "Where are you going?"

"I'm going on a date," Barry said.

"Well, not yet, you're not," Julian said.

"You know, you're not actually my boss, Julian," Barry said.

"But I am the senior lab tech, and the last time I checked, the hours were 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Not 6:58. Not 6:59. But se-"

"Remember that other feeling you got when that thing you were excited about seemed to take forever to arrive? Imagine being a speedster. Days seem like weeks. Hours seem like days. And seconds seem like...you get the point."

"-ven," Julian said, but then the clock hit 7:00 pm.

"I'll see you tomorrow," Barry said before he walked out, grinning to himself.

National City
Kara's Apartment Building

When Kara walked out from her building, in a sparkling pink dress, she was met with a stand on roses shaped into a heart, with Barry standing next to it. "It's too much? Yeah, it's too much. It's the heart, right? It's too cheesy? Hold on," Barry said before he speed the roses around, and now instead of a heart, the roses spelt out Kara. "Is that better? That's...That's worse? We'll go back to the heart."

"No, Bar. Wait, wait, wait. It is so beautiful, and you are so sweet, but tonight, I want to be with you. Barry Allen. Not the Flash. So...So no Flash talk. No Supergirl talk. No speed," Kara said and Barry smiled.

"No problem. All right. Starting now, the Flash and Supergirl is officially off-limits," Barry said and Kara smiled before taking his arm.

"Where are we going?" She asked.
