Daxamite Cruiser
Back on the ship, the four were seated in the dining room, Mon and Iris facing each other, not eating, not saying anything. But Mon knew exactly how Iris felt just by the look in her eyes. Absolute hate and heartbreak. "Where's that appetite of yours?" Lar Gand asked.
"Aren't you happy to see us?" Rhea asked.
"Of course, of course I am," Mon said.
"Or have you been distracted by Humans who flutter their pretty eyes since you fled Daxam?" Rhea asked, which caused Iris to grip onto her fork.
"How did you find me?" Mon asked, trying to get the attention off of Iris.
"We heard your beacon. The transmission was incomplete, it brought us to this galaxy. Then it was just a matter of gathering the bread crumbs," Lar Gand explained.
"We had our greatest success at Slavers' Moon. We heard from one of our Dominator ambassadors that you've been freeing slaves," Rhea said.
"Yes, imagine our surprise at your heroics," Lar Gand said and Rhea looked at Iris.
"Your influence, I'm sure," she said.
"We freed them from being treated like animals. They weren't goods to be traded," Iris said.
"There's that famous Kryptonian exaggeration," Rhea said and Iris gritted her teeth. "No wonder you're friends with them."
"Mon-El, you remember how well your servants were treated at the palace. Just like family," Lar Gand said.
"Because you stole them from their families," Iris said and Mon gave her a look. But she refused to back down.
"We liberated them from greater hardship. We gave them a path," Rhea said.
"How did you escape the blasts? I thought you were dead," Mon said.
"When Krypton exploded, the Kryptonite rained down, killing everything. We had to get off planet to persevere," Lar Gand explained.
"And to find you. So that we might return, now that the atmosphere is hospitable. To make Daxam great again," Rhea said, which really made Iris want to laugh. But she just stuck to staying calm with her voice and posture.
"Daxam was never great," Mon muttered, seeing the expression of uncomfortableness on Iris's face.
"Has the Human rubbed off on you so much so that you have forgotten? I know you're fond of a pretty face, but be reasonable," Rhea said and Iris looked at her.
"Well, I think what he might find novel about me is integrity," Iris said.
"You know, let's not argue about worlds of old," Lar Gand said as Iris looked back at Mon. "Why don't you tell us of your journey and how you survived?"
"Yes. I would love to hear about that," Iris said with a huge smile.
"I'd rather not," Mon muttered.
"No, no, Prince, by all means," Iris said as she crossed her arms. "Please tell us of your heroic escape."

Mon-El was in bed with a woman, but they were awoken by the planet shaking and boulders were flying down to the ground. Then a guard quickly walked into the room to get Mon-El. "My lord," he said.
"What's going on?" Mon asked then the palace shook even more.
"We have to evacuate immediately," the guard said as Mon got out of his bed to look out his window and he saw his whole world falling apart. "There's no time," the guard said as he started to pull Mon away.
