Previously on Come Back To You, H. R. revealed he swapped places with Iris and died.

Realizing his mistake, Savitar kidnapped Cisco and forced him to modify the Bazooka into an "inter-dimensional quantum splicer" that would allow him to disperse himself throughout time and protect him from the paradox that threatened him. Barry met with Savitar, believing he could be redeemed, and brought him to S.T.A.R. Labs. Savitar rejects Barry and Kara's pleas, wrecked the lab and ordered Caitlin to kill Cisco, but Gypsy saved him. Savitar opened a portal into the Speed Force. Zolomon, as the Black Flash, intervened, but was disposed of by Caitlin. Savitar then attempted to execute his plan.

However, Cisco modified the Bazooka into a 'skeleton key' which freed Jay from the Speed Force prison. Barry, Wally and Jay engaged Savitar, while Cisco, with Gypsy, Supergirl-2 and Mon-El's help, convinced Caitlin to abandon Savitar. Barry destroyed Savitar's armor before Savitar was killed by Kara, saving Barry. Caitlin decided not to use Julian's cure, leaving the team to find her own purpose.

Streets of National City

On a dark night, a young woman was walking home alone, but she felt someone watching. So she started walking faster, but suddenly a man appeared in front of her. "What's the hurry?" He asked and the woman looked behind her to see three other men, clearly with the other man.

Frightened, the woman fell back, and screamed when the men started to get on her. But then Guardian jumped in and knocked the man off of her. He then fought the other men who were coming for him, until they too were knocked out. He then looked to the woman, to see her still frightened. "Are you okay?" He asked.

"Stay back!" She yelled.

"I'm here to help," he said.

"Don't hurt me!" She yelled before she quickly got up and ran off, while James watched her go.

"James? Police are on their way, buddy. You good?"

"James?"

"Let's call it a night," James said.

The next day, Kara, Iris and Lena all sat down for lunch on the balcony, but Iris was just full of smiles around Lena. She never thought that she'd see Lena, or even Kara again, but here she was, alive, smiling, breathing. All thanks to HR. He would always be Iris's hero. "I mean, I love him. I do. I...I love him. But come on. JT has got to be the only one holding up the reunion right now," Kara said, pulling Iris out from her thoughts.

"Oh, obviously. Here, but let me ask you this, right? Would you rather have an NSync reunion or JT and Britney back together?" Lena asked and Iris started chuckling.

"Ugh! My OTP. That's an impossible question to answer, and you are cruel for asking," Kara said.

"Yeah. Well, you know, sometimes my Luthor genes just shine through," Lena said and they all chuckled.

"Thanks for catching lunch with us," Iris said and Kara smiled at her.

"Yeah. Well, since I canceled on you the last three times and you said you couldn't get away, I figured you were worth the extra effort," Lena said and the two reporters suddenly stared intrigued.
