While Cisco, Kara, Barry, Iris and Mon all stood by the computers, HR paced back and forth. "I don't get it. I don't get it," he said.

"Every meta-human we've encountered has been exactly that, meta-human, so where did this thing come from?" Cisco asked.

"I don't know where it came from, man. I just...it just vanished. That's all I know. It was gone," Barry said.

"Yeah, but in my experience, things are always different," HR said.

"What?" Barry asked.

"Than they appear. There must be a reason the darn thing can just disappear like that. Maybe the darn thing's got some kind of cloaking mechanism," HR said.

"That's a good idea, but right now, I would settle for how can we stop it?" Cisco asked.

"Yes, obviously. Just how?" HR asked.

"I don't know," Cisco said.

"We don't have a magic monster lasso. But you know what we could...Oh, sorry. I forgot. I'm just...I'm just observing," HR said.

"No, H.R., please. We're open to any idea right now," Kara said.

"On my Earth, we have ropes made out of carbon fiber. They are ultralight but strong enough to pull a battleship; we could restrain it with that. Right? What do you think?" HR asked.

"Okay, I think it's...Okay. I think it's worth a shot; we can spin it down in my workshop," Cisco said.

"Yes. Good. Yeah, there was something else that was weird, though. I...I saw a transformer explode as this thing passed by it," Barry said.

"That is weird," Cisco said.

"What's weird about that?" Iris asked.

"Monster didn't even lay a finger on it. It exploded before it got to it," Kara said.

"Kind of reminds me of that Hitchcock movie where the extra covers his ears before the gun goes off," Cisco said.

"You have Hitchcock on this Earth? Oh, brilliant. Murder on the Titanic! Who did it? Who cares? We're drowning," HR said and they all looked at him weird.

"What's Hitchcock?" Mon asked.

"It's a movie," Iris said.

"Yes, and what's a movie?" Mon asked.

"Oh, man. He really knows nothing," Barry said.

"And who's fault is that?" Iris asked.

"Mine. I know. Everyone keeps reminding me," Barry said.

"The beast must emit some kind of electrical pulse. Is there a way I could get a look at that transformer?" Cisco asked.

"No. It's...the whole place is a crime scene now with Julian in charge of it," Barry said.

"Ah, Julian. Who's that?" Mon asked.

"That's the CSI guy you don't like, right?" HR asked.

"I mean...Yeah, all right," Barry said before he left, Kara and Iris also leaving.

"He's great," Iris whispered to Mon.

CCPD: Barry and Julian's Lab

When Barry walked in, he saw Julian was on his computer looking at the news about the monster. "Hey, Julian," Barry said.

"Hmm. You seen this? It's bad enough we have the metas destroying the city. Now we have this thing to worry about," Julian said before he looked at Barry. "Is there any point in me asking where you've been for the last hour? Or should I just assume the rules still don't apply to you?"
