Previously on Come Back To You, Feeling responsible for everything bad that had happened, and that Wally was suffering inside the speed force, Barry decided to rescue him. Cisco vibes Barry into the speed force, where he encountered manifestations of friends and foes who had previously sacrificed their lives.

Less accommodating than before, they pushed Barry to understand true sacrifice and that he, Kara and Mon-El must be the ones to save Iris in the future. Barry was also confronted by his former enemy, Hunter Zolomon, and defeated him. Jay Garrick, having been contacted by Cisco, joined Barry inside the speed force and voluntarily took Wally's place so Barry and Wally can escape.

Meanwhile, Jesse used the armor shard to locate and face Savitar by herself, managing to wound him with it before he escapes.

Later, Jesse decided to go to Earth-3 to protect it until the team can free Jay from the speed force. Barry admitted to Kara that even though he does love her, he proposed for the wrong reasons and Kara suggested they take some time apart from one another.

Iris's Apartment

Sitting in a chair, feeling sorry for himself, Barry ate some popcorn that Iris gave to him before she sat on the couch with Mon-El. "Wow! We're six seasons in and winter still hasn't come!" Iris exclaimed and Mon chuckled.

"You know, since you got fired from CatCo, your queue has gone down exponentially," Mon said.

"Yes, well, I am fully embracing my funemployment," Iris said and Barry and Mon both laughed.

"Funemployment," Barry muttered before he threw a piece of popcorn at her. "What's next?"

"Oh, how about, uh...How about one of those movies where everybody just...Just breaks into song out of nowhere?" Mon asked but Barry and Iris both stopped dead in their tracks.

"You mean a musical?" Barry asked.

"Yes! Yes," Mon said.

"Are you serious right now?" Barry asked.

"Dead serious," Mon said.

"You are opening the floodgates my friend. We have to watch Funny Face!" Barry exclaimed.

"Yes! It's Fred Astaire, Audrey Hepburn, being adorable. The most romantic movie ever!" Iris exclaimed.

"Yeah, I'll go and get some ice cream from the store! I'll be back," Barry said before he zoomed out and Iris smiled deeply. But when she looked at Mon, he was just admiring her.

"What?" Iris asked.

"That face. That smile," Mon said, cupping her cheeks, squishing them, which made her smile more.

"I'm just happy," Iris said.

"Yeah?" Mon asked.

"Yeah, like that...Dopey grin, butterflies in my stomach happy," Iris said.

"Mmm-hmm," Mon hummed but Iris covered her face in embarrassment.

"Is that cheesy?" Iris asked.

"It's like, it's like a rom-com on steroids cheesy," Mon said before he uncovered her face to see her beautiful face. "But I'm happy you're happy."
