Hayami's POV

"So mind telling me why were you so eager to know the truth about our other families in demon world?" Ranumi asked curiously as we walked our street towards our home.

The rain stopped a few minutes ago after we left the boys to themselves, though I doubt it would be a long conversation. Not only that, I was just eager to get away after hearing those messages from the three demon kings and that two would be dead soon. Including my real father.

Just because we came to demon world doesn't mean they could use us as a weapon in their war. It's either their desperate for an advantage in their plan for power or they want something from us in a personal matter.

I sighed before answering my sister's question, "Curiosity I suppose." I said as I thought about how he mentioned my true father being alive.

"It's about knowing who your real father is, isn't it?" Ranumi asked as she looked at me curiously and concern,

"Let's admit it, some kids just want to know who their real parents are. I'm one of them." I said as I looked up at the clear night sky, "Despite that Ryuji treated me as his own daughter, it doesn't help me from being curious into knowing who my real father really is other than being a human." I said before looking at Ranumi to see her sad pouting face.

"Eh! B-But that doesn't mean I said that I didn't like having Ryuji as my father because I do love him as a real father despite that he's not really my father

"Eh! B-But that doesn't mean I said that I didn't like having Ryuji as my father because I do love him as a real father despite that he's not really my father." I quickly defended, waving my hand

Ranumi sighed as she dropped that face. Honestly, her sad pouty faces is gonna end me. "I get it." She said as she looks at me with that reassuring smile of hers. "You just want to know what he is like. I can't really blame you, Hayami. If I were in your shoes, I would probably feel the same." She said,

I smiled softly at her. "Thank you, sister." I said until she hugged me as we walked,

"But whatever you may find out, always know that your my big sister and that your family forever." Ranumi said, "I think you deserve to be happy more than anyone else." I hummed at that as we reached the house.

I was about to grab the door knob until I felt something off. An unfamiliar demon energy is inside the house, not only that, it's powerful and I could feel my parents' energy inside with it.

"Ranumi, stay close." I told my little sister as she nodded and stood behind me while holding onto my left arm.

I slowly opened the door of our home, only to see that the whole house was dark other than the light in the living room. Before we could even step into the house, Ranumi screamed but it was cut short. I turned around to kill whoever has my sister, but only for me to stare blankly at the one who has her mouth covered with his hand.

Hiei covered Ranumi's mouth as she just stared and blink at the sudden surprise horror she felt. While I just stared at my fire demon dumbfounded at his sudden appearance. I figured he'd come home later like an hour or so.
