Third POV
Hayami finished another day of training with Takumi in the training area as she was now heading towards her room, being accompanied by Ranumi the whole way.
"It's a little hard to believe that it has been sixth months since we've stayed in Mag Mel." Ranumi said as she held her sister's arm, "But I'm more surprised that you haven't thought of seeing your father."
Hayami was a little shock that she had forgotten about it. "I suppose training had gotten in too much in my head lately." She said as she looked at her sister, "Though, I think I might want to let Takumi know about it first."
"Still refusing to call him 'uncle'?" Ranumi asked,
"Pretty much." Hayami said bluntly,
"Come on. He's been nice and respectful to us since we've got here." Ranumi said, "Besides, father seems to trust him."
"Maybe. But I wouldn't let my guard down just yet." She said, "You can never be too careful on who you meet."
"Quite true, Princess." Mari's voice was heard as the two girls stopped in their tracks while Hayami act on instinct and protectively pulled her sister behind her. "You should really be more careful on who you trust." She said as the demon revealed herself from the corner of the hall,
"Mari." Hayami said in a venomous tone and glared at her,
"I'm glad that you remembered me, Hayami. Well, after all, you could've killed me with your so called introduction." Mari smirked as she walked in front of the halfbreed.
"Then you must be weak since you just admitted that forty percent of my power is enough to kill you." Hayami said, which made Mari gave a heated glare. "Correction, that was actually twenty. My anger just doubled its power."
"You really do have your mother's eyes. How unfortunate for her not to be with her own daughter." She then chuckled with a grin, "Or maybe she's just trying to get rid of you."
"No, she is not and I suggest you shut up." Hayami said, hinting a warning in her tone.
"You shouldn't have existed in the first place." Mari ignored and just pushed through, "It could've save your mother the humiliation of having you as a child." Mari said which struck a nerve on Hayami, "Do really think that your mother wanted you?" She asked,
"You're only saying that because you envy her." Hayami retorted, ignoring what she said, "And that everyone liked and respects her more than you because you don't have some respect to yourself."
"No. I'm only stating possible facts." Mari said, "You should really think about it. Things happen for a reason and everything changed when you existed. I'm sure you've learned about it from your own mother." She said before grinning devilishly, "Besides, everyone knows that an offspring between a human and a demon is a complete sin to both sides. If someone were to love you, such as being your mate, I'd say that demon was just thinks of you as his toy to play with. Or perhaps that you are deluding yourself to believe that someone would ever want to be with you."
Hearing this is starting to storm Hayami's mind about her relationship with Hiei. Her doubts getting the best of her again. Negative thoughts started to flow in her mind, questioning herself if what she has done with Hiei was true or not.
