The Tunnel

Hayami's POV

"A tunnel, but how?" Yusuke asked,

"There is a border zone dividing your world and ours." Ryuji said, "Somehow a giant breech is opening in that zone."

"It is known as the Psuedo Space." Kurama said, "Tiny portals from it opened from time to time allowing demons like us to slip through. But they are rare and quickly closed trapping us."

"Hn. You're wrong old hag." Hiei said, "If there were a hole out of this vile world, I would've taken it."

'And leave to stay in demon world forever?' I mentally asked in a bit of a sad tone as Hiei looked at me in the eyes, yet not knowing what to say but wanted to.

I quietly sighed and looked back to my parents and teacher, ignoring the sudden pain I felt in my chest after I asked that thought.

"Getting you to believe me would be a pain in the ass." Genkai said, "I'll let you see it yourself." She said,

"Enough suspense, where is it?" Yusuke asked,

"Mushiyori City." The three people in front of us said,

"What? That close?" Yusuke asked, "That's like a Sunday afternoon drive from here."

"Father, but don't you work there?" Ranumi asked,

"Yes, but once I got there I noticed several demon insects flying around the city, even suddenly stepping into anyone's territory by chance." Father said, "Not to mention that demon energy is thick within that area and normal humans wouldn't be able to see those bugs. After seeing that there were multiple psychics, master Genkai asked me to bring them to her temple for advise. The same reason why your mother was requested by her a week ago. But as the day pass in that city, the insects were doubled from each day."

"I suppose that explains your sudden disappearance for the past week." I said,

Suddenly a beeping noise came from the briefcase Botan was holding.

"I guess that's Koenma." Botan said as she opened the case, revealing the small screen having Koenma on it,

"Botan, is Yusuke with you? It's an emergency." Koenma said,

"We're all here, Koenma." Mother said as Lala crawled up her shoulders,

"Wanna tell us about the border tunnel?" Genkai asked,

"Genkai! Wakumi! I forgot I brought you both back to life." Koenma said chuckling a little,

"You're slow of the up take this time, it seems whoever is doing this has used the typical low after the tournament to catch even you off guard." She said, "In the last month, Ryuji brought over thirty humans to have come to me for help, suddenly finding themselves to have an assortment of supernatural powers." She reported, "These two are prime examples." She said referring to the two humans standing beside her,

"The traits of the effect did barely but they all share one thing in common." Mother said, "They all came from Mushiyori City."

"Hmmm. I guess an itsy-bitsy part of me is happy that the opening's influence hasn't stretched any farther yet." Koenma said, "But that means that we've already advance into stage two."

"Stage two? W-What does that mean, you move to training pants?" Yusuke asked,

"No. No it doesn't." Koenma said, "But I'm not sure how much of it I can reveal. It is secret classified information from the highest essential of files in spirit world intelligence."
