Ranumi's POV
It's been a day since Yusuke and Takumi left for demon world. Master Genkai let us sleep in her temple for the night since it was getting late. Though despite all that, I don't know what to think of if for the past few days. I was mostly worried about Hayami and Hiei's relationship in this, especially since their fight the other night, though my worries were for nothing after seeing that they were immediately on good terms with each other.
I was currently in school, we recently just took a quiz and the bell rings, indicating our lunch break. I stretched myself across my desk after sitting in a classroom all morning.
"You doing alright, Umi?" I heard Chiharu in concern,
"I'm just a bit tired, that's all." I said as I faced her, "And a small problems with family."
"Family problems, gotcha." She said as I stood up from my seat. "Though I'm sure it would be resolved soon enough. Plus your parents are pretty decent and I like them. Especially your badass sister." She said making me chuckle on how my own classmate likes Hayami. "Anyway, I'm not gonna be with you today. Teachers wants to talk to their class representatives at lunch."
"Don't worry, Chiharu. It's alright." I reassured her,
"I'll see you later in our next class." She said before running out of the room.
I smiled at her as I took out my lunchbox and made my way towards the school roof top, were a certain redhead boyfriend of mine is patiently waiting for me. As soon as I got to the roof, I felt two presence with Kurama. I turned away from the door and saw my sister and Hiei with our fox demon.
Kurama then turned to me and smiled. "Ranumi, it would seem that we have some companies." He said as I walked over to them,
"I could see that." I said as I turned to the two couple, "So what brings you two here?" I asked curiously,
"We just came to tell Kurama that me and Hiei will be leaving for demon world by tomorrow night." Hayami said as Lala perked up from her shoulders and cooed,
"That soon huh. Does mother and father knows?" I asked,
"They do." Hiei said, "Though unfortunately your mother has decided to come with me in meeting Mukuro while Ryuji is with Hayami."
"So they're coming too." I said,
"That's right. My only worries now is that you'll be left alone for who knows how long." Hayami said in concern,
"Hayami thought that it was best for you to stay with me or with Genkai until I make my departure to Yomi's." Kurama said, "I decided against it since I can't risk of what would Yomi would do to you if I would ever to bring her with me."
"Does that mean you'll leave in six months from now?" I asked him,
"Indeed. I'll have to be there for my mother's wedding first, then make my way to demon world." He said,
"Ranumi." Hayami called me as I turned to her, "We don't want to force you in staying with one of us or leaving you here. This is your choice to make on what you want. Please give this some thought." She said with concern,
"I appreciate the concern for this and don't worry. I'll give you my answer by tomorrow." I said to her,
Hayami nodded as Hiei grabbed her hand before disappearing from sight. I sighed, closing my eyes and sat near the wall. I felt Kurama seating next to me as he held my hand. I opened my eyes to meet his emerald ones, to see that they were filled with concern.
"My water lily, are you alright?" He asked softly,
"Not really to be honest." I sighed as I looked our hands, "I was mostly in my thoughts for the past few days after the messages from demon world. It made me worried for Hayami and Hiei since they would be separated, but then I realized that you would also be going as well even if it would be until six months from now." I said, locking my gaze with his. "I thought that it would be okay since I know you'll all come back, but after hearing that my parents would be joining Hayami and Hiei, I would be left alone."
