Third POV
"What do you mean you 'honestly don't know'?" Hiei asked with a bit of annoyance and anger as he sat on Hayami's bed while his mate was drying her hair in her nightgown after a rather long shower. He crossed his arms over his bare chest impatiently as he wait for Hayami's answer.
"I could easily tell that you were curious to know about the rest of my family after my so-called uncle just visited." Hayami said with the same amount of annoyance with Hiei, "Besides, we were both invited to demon world just by different kings. Not to mention that it could end up a war seeing how Raizen and Namiyo will die for who knows when." She said as she faced him from her seat on her table, "Meaning that we would be separated and none of us knows how will it end up. If it comes to war, they will be expecting us to fight each other."
Lala chirped in attempt as she flapped her wings to calm down her owner from arguing along with Hiei on the couch. The white dragon feels the sudden pain and wants the two mates to stop before it gets worst.
Little did the two couple know is that two parents were listening quietly just outside the closed bedroom. Ranumi was drawing a sketch as she sadly listen to her sister's and Hiei's conversation from the wall of her bedroom.
'They really bicker like an old married couple.' Ranumi thought in comment with a sweat drop as she ate a chip snack on her bed while continuing to draw and listen.
"Like I'm just gonna let them make us fight, Onna." Hiei said as Hayami sighed and puts away her hairdryer and brush, "Or have you forgotten that we're mated."
"Have you forgotten from whom you were invited? Kurama already said it himself that Mukuro is a tyrannical ruler, someone who's incapable of mercy when it comes of battle." Hayami said as she just sits in her chair. Though hearing the name of an old friend, made Wakumi's eyes widen. "And don't think for a second that I didn't caught that smirk on your face during his message. It was clear that you two have something in common if he wanted you to join him in his army. Either way, it will make us fight each other!"
"So you're just expect the both us to kill each other?! Is that what you want?! To kill each other!" Hiei yelled at her with anger in his voice,
Silence just filled the room as everyone who was listening just waited anxiously for one of them to speak for hear anything else.
Hayami just held her angered face but deep down she was shocked and hurt by what he said. Hiei tsk as he looked away from Hayami in annoyance and anger while she turned away and covered her face in her hands out of frustration, leaning her elbows onto the table.
It honestly pained her to hear something like that from Hiei. It didn't help that she was angry at herself for ever thinking that Hiei would constantly be away from her. What made it worse was the twisted feeling she felt when she heard Mukuro's voice was still there. She didn't want to show the sudden jealousy she felt in front of Hiei. It just disgusted her and made her feel selfish.
The parents who were listening looked at each other in concern for the two of them. Knowing full well that they would need each other when one of them is breaking.
"It's best to give them some time, love." Ryuji whispered to his wife as she looked at him, "I have a feeling that this has something which regards in going back to demon world."
"Agreed." Wakumi said nodding her head, "I know that both Hiei and Hayami could resolve this soon in their own way. The least we could do is to be there for our daughter, letting her know that she isn't alone."
"I suppose that goes the same to Hiei. If he's willing to even approach either you or me for that matter." He said as he guided his wife back to their bedroom downstairs,
