Hayami's POV

Being underwater really feels nice. But letting all my powers out while trying to communicate with the dragon by meditating is giving me a headache. I've been staying underwater for half an hour now and this dragon is really aching my whole body.

"Please my water dragon. Why won't you still obey me?" I asked through meditation as made eye contact with my dragon after I released it. "I have been training hard for the past twenty years in order to bring out the true power that lies within both me and you. Please tell why haven't you accepted me as your master."

"It is not that I don't respect you, princess. But I am a former dragon of your dear mother's power." The dragon spoke, "You may have been able to control your mother's powers, yet it doesn't mean that you have complete control over me. For as you see, my loyalty resides on my one true master and creator."

"I understand that I have no right on what's been bestowed upon me and I know you have foreseen this and have been aware of the consequences that you have lost your master and creator. I may not be worthy to be your new master and creator, but seeing as my mother did created you in order to protect the family she most desires, I believe that you have a role to perform your duty to protect. Not only my family, but your master and creator."

"You speak of the truth princess and I'll only tell you why I obeyed your command on devouring the life of that fire brat you fought."

"Please explain, considering that I was shocked that you've obeyed."

"The way that girl insulted my master and creator gave me the instinct to kill. But when I felt your rage, I knew that we both felt the same anger towards the demon who insulted her. I obeyed your command upon killing her, because I do not wish to bring shame upon my creator that way."

"And my demon form?"

"Your demon form came out because I was released by you. Though because of your angered emotions, the power that you used was simply too much for you to control. Thus creating your water ring became your option in order to contain that power and releasing it to the enemy."

"I see. My anger blinded me with rage that I have no control. Again. A solid reason that you couldn't fully put your full trust in me to tame you."

"Don't get me wrong, princess. I have my respects for you, seeing that you're not only the daughter of my master and creator, but you have proven that even as a half human, you've managed to control an immense of powerful energy which is something you should be proud of. And for that I will cooperate with you until you have proven that you are a master and creator worthy of me."

"Really?"

"Like what you've said my princess, I am created to protect what my master most desired. Which includes you, for it is my duty as her loyal creation to do so."

"Thank you, very much. I promise that I'll work hard to be worthy of your expectations on me."

"You very much are like your mother. Strong and always give her best to protect her loved ones."

"If I may ask, did my mother gave you name, seeing as she is your master and creator."

"It is Tetsuya, my princess."

"Well then, Tetsuya. I hope that we could grow strong together in her honor."

I opened my eyes after the meditation with Tetsuya as I gazed up at the water dragon himself. Starring at me with all its divine power and glory. I looked down at myself to see that I was in my demon form.
