The next morning had been pretty exciting for Asteria. All night, she couldn't help but ask Isabella questions about the Wizarding World.
They had stayed up late, talking about everything.. from the castle of Hogwarts to the Hogsmeade village, from Leaky Cauldron to the street called 'Magnolia Crescent' where they once used to live.
"So we're going to live there again?" Ria had asked.
"No, honey." Isabella had replied with a frown. "The wizarding neighbourhood of Magnolia Crescent caught fire some years before we left. No one lives there anymore."
They had talked about pets, wands, subjects at Hogwarts and also a game named Quidditch, which was Isabella's favourite sport. And from Quidditch, their topic had shifted to the Sorting hat and the Houses. She had explained the basics to her daughter, including every House's stereotypical virtues.
Honestly, Isabella didn't care if her daughter was sorted into her House or any other. She had wasted her time thinking that her House was superior during her school days, and she didn't want that to affect her daughter. She just wanted to see Asteria live her best life.
Their discussion had slowly died down when Isabella had caught Ria dozing off during their conversation. And even though Ria had denied those 'outrageous' allegations, she had fallen asleep on her mother's lap some minutes later.
Isabella's conflict with her own mind had kept her up that night, though she couldn't help but feel like an immense burden had been lifted off her shoulder. She was returning to her home, after all.
The next day, when they were about to leave, Ria called out to her. "Mum.." She was sitting on her suitcase, while Isabella was running around the house, doing the usual last minute checking.
She had already sent Jude with a letter to her Magizoologist boss, explaining how she was finally returning to her true timeline.
Apparently, her boss now was the same person who had guided Isabella with Magizoology right after she had graduated from Hogwarts.
Cool.. wasn't it?
"Mum!"
"Oh Godric, what?" Her mother exclaimed.
"I'm bored."
Isabella rolled her eyes at the answer. "When are you not, love?" She took a small pouch out of her pocket and handed it to Ria. "Here. Hold it open."
Ria did as told. Her mother lifted the suitcase and as she lowered it into the pouch, it disappeared into it. "Woah.."
"It's called an 'Undetectable Extension Charm'." Isabella answered with a chuckle. "Useful, isn't it?"
Ria nodded. "Very." She said, watching as all their luggage eventually disappeared into the small pouch.
Isabella left a tensed breath. Finally.. The moment she had dreaded.
