Even walking through the corridors on a pretty normal day, Asteria couldn't stop smiling. She couldn't get Harry out of her mind. Every time her mind brought his words back, it also played some stupidly endearing music, making her smile widen and her cheeks gain colour.

"You look too happy, Ria.." The girl beside her asked as they walked towards their Arithmancy classroom.

Ria just looked at Hermione, playfully furrowing her eyebrows. "Why? D'you think I shouldn't be?"

Her expressions were quick to change. "Oh, no no no! I— I didn't mean that in a bad way— I'm so sorry!"

"Oh, calm down, Mione!" Ria quickly said, putting an arm around her shoulder. "I was joking."

She visibly relaxed. "Your jokes are concerning.."

Ria gave her a look. "No, they aren't! They're hilarious." She defended herself.

Hermione rolled her eyes sarcastically. "Yeah, yeah, like the one with Sophie and I."

Asteria sniggered, earning another glare from her. "It was, though.. except for the part where you two hexed my arse off. Damn.. I'm gonna get Nott for that, one day." Hermione chuckled.

But as the two entered the classroom, Ria's smile disappeared. She had almost forgotten that today's Arithmancy was supposed to be a combined class with the fifth years.. That meant Louis Bonheur was here.

She quickly looked away once he caught her eyes. Ria took a deep breath. Alright.. It's been a while since I've been this happy, and NO ONE is going to ruin it. She decided.

The two girls walked towards their usual seats next to each other, and busied themselves with books. "Hey, Ria, Mione!" yelled Amelia, making Ria curse under her breath. Louis and Amelia always sat together in Arithmancy.

She looked behind along with Hermione, giving the girl a smile that seemed forced. She could feel Bonheur's unwavering gaze on her. "Are you coming to the party in the Gryffindor dorm room, tonight?" She asked.

Ria immediately shook her head. "Uh— no, I have Astronomy." She answered quickly, her eyes begging the girl to quit the conversation as she was growing uncomfortable. Hermione gave the girl an apologetic look too. Even though she didn't know what had happened, she could tell their falling out had been bad.

"Oh— I didn't know.. You know, Sophie, Cedric and Cho were coming too, so I asked.. but nevermind." She shrugged.

And Ria nodded. "Yeah!" She turned to face her front. "Nevermind.." she muttered sarcastically. Soon, Professor Vector entered the class.

Ria would do anything but admit out loud that she wished calculators were allowed in Hogwarts. She would've even smuggled one, but then Isabella told her that technology didn't work because of the ancient magic in the school.
