"So.. that's all?" said Blaise, as he and Theodore exchanged glances.
"What do you mean that's all? It's fun!" Ria answered, her eyes diverting from the feast for just a mere second. The Halloween feast was heavenly.
"The idea of roaming around in costumes and collecting candies is fun to you?" He asked again.
Sophie squinted her eyes at him. "Uhm— yes. It sounds very fun to me."
Blaise chuckled sarcastically, shaking his head. "Just say you have a boring life.. Scamander."
"Hey!" Ria snapped, her attention now completely on the pair. "It is fun, alright? Just because you've never done that.." She gave him a cold smile.
He shook his head again. "Just give up.. You'll never convince us that Muggles are fun." Theodore nodded in agreement.
Ria sighed, biting into her candied apple. We'll see when I tell you about the Spider-Man comic.. fanboy.
"Well.. then what do you do for fun? Sit around and do nothing?" She asked. "Sounds fun."
"Don't try.. you're not that witty."
"And you are?" She asked with an aggravating smile. "Because even though you clever wizards have managed to keep your secrets from those 'stupid' Muggles, they know about the way you fly on a broomstick, use a cauldron and tons of weird ingredients to make potions." She snapped.
She couldn't help it. Being raised as a Muggle for eleven years, Asteria felt that she was obligated to defend them from those narrow-minded, thick-headed Purebloods.
Theodore rolled his eyes at the way she was offended. Honestly, he couldn't figure out why she didn't just stay in her lane. She was a witch with magical abilities, just like them. One would assume she'd side with the group she belonged to.
Besides, his father needed him to make friends with her, for some reason.
And he needed to take that comic book from her.
"Alright, that's enough fighting." he said, looking at Blaise. "Honestly, this is all just pointless.. I don't know why—" he turned to look at Ria, but stopped talking upon seeing the horrifying look on her face.
She had her eyes almost bulging out of their sockets. She wasn't moving, at all. Theodore didn't know if she was even breathing at that moment.
"Hey— Edwards?" His weak call made Sophie and Blaise look at him. They followed his gaze, and their faces deformed into a similar expression.
Ria had gone completely numb. The only thing she felt was her pounding heart. It was a scary feeling. She felt sick to her stomach.
"Okay, you're scaring me now, Edwards. Is it some Muggle Halloween joke we don't understand?" said Nott, poking at her wrist. Though he flinched when she suddenly balled her hand into a weak fist.
