"WE HAVE TO LEAVE TOMORROW, GODDAMMIT!" Kurt shouted at Krist and Dave.

"Don't yell at us, man!" Krist yelled back. "We didn't do a fucking thing to you! We're all upset about this, too!"

"Sorry."

I had been eavesdropping on their conversation for a while, now. As soon as I got home from work, I heard them yelling and knew that I had to go to our room. Lorelai was still at daycare, so I couldn't quite get her yet, but I didn't want to walk out in the middle of their argument.

There was a knock on my door, so I opened it up and saw Dave standing in front of me, Krist and Kurt still in the living room, but they were looking, too.

"You opened that quite quickly," He smiled. "Krist and I will stay home and watch Lorelai."

"Your point?"

"Go out with Kurt."

"I can't-"

Dave rolled his eyes. "Did you not listen to what I just told you? God, you frustrate me sometimes!" He was half-joking, half being serious. "I'm telling you that Krist and I will babysit while you go out with your boyfriend!"

"Okay, okay."

I slammed the door, locked it, changed out of my sweaty clothes and put on a long-sleeve shirt and pants. I smelled disgusting, so I put on deodorant. I walked out and Krist and Dave told me that Kurt was waiting in the car. I hugged them both, thanked them, put on my shirt, and walked out to the car.

I got in the passenger seat and Kurt drove off.

"Where to?" He asked.

I held his hand. "It's up to you."

"I don't know where to fucking go," He chuckled.

"We could go skating."

"Skating? I don't know how to go skating!"

"Me either," I chuckled.

"Skating it is. Actually, um Ruby, can I talk to you about something?"

Oh no.

"Is it bad?"

"No, no. Well, I guess so."

I let go of his hand. "Just tell me."

"I was in an interview a couple days ago-you know that. And they um...they asked me about Courtney."

"What'd they say?"

"They asked me about her, if you and I broke up, and if I was with her."

"What'd you say?"

"I said that we were together. Apparently, she's fucking going around spreading rumors that we're fucking and getting really high."

"Are you?"

"Fuck no, Ruby!"

"I'm just making sure."

"I made it very clear that you and I are still together."

He parked the car and we got out. We walked inside and immediately people swarmed around Kurt and I. We tried pushing through, but we couldn't because of the amount of people.

It was really claustrophobic. There was a bunch of yelling, I could smell sweat, but through it all, Kurt didn't let go of my hand. He squeezed it and I could tell he was stressed out.

"ALRIGHT, EVERYONE GET OUT OF THE WAY!" A male voice yelled.

I tried looking up to see who it was, but there were a bunch of hands over my head.
